大衛也吩咐利未人的首領要派立他們的族弟兄做歌唱者、拿琴瑟響鈸等樂器歡歡喜喜高聲作樂的人。

建築的人立永恆主殿堂根基的時候、祭司穿着禮服、拿着號筒，亞薩的子孫利未人拿着響鈸，都站着，讚美永恆主，照以色列王大衛所手定的。他們彼此唱和、讚美稱謝永恆主、說：『因為他至善；他向以色列人所施的堅愛永遠長存。』他們讚美永恆主的時候、眾民都大聲歡呼、慶祝永恆主之殿的根基已經立定。

上帝啊，人都看你的行進，我的上帝我的王之行進入聖所。歌唱的在前頭，作樂的在後頭，中間有童女擊着鼗鼓：在歌唱隊中他們祝頌着上帝，祝頌着永恆主、以色列之源頭。在那裏有蕞爾微小的便雅憫領先；有猶大的首領成羣成堆；有西布倫的首領，有拿弗他利的首領。

你們要吹號角頌讚他；要鼓瑟彈琴頌讚他！

萬族之民哪、你們都要拍掌；要用呼勝的聲音歡呼頌讚上帝。

永恆主告訴摩西說：『你要作兩枝銀號筒，用錘的法子來作；使你可以召集會眾，也可以叫眾營往前行。他們吹兩枝的時候，全會眾都要聚集到你這裏、在會棚的出入處。他們若單吹一枝，眾首領、以色列的族系長、就要聚集攏來到你這裏。你們吹緊急聲的時候，那紮在東邊的營、都要往前行。你們第二次吹緊急聲的時候，那紮在南邊的營都要往前行。要往前行、他們總吹緊急聲的。但召集大眾的時候，你們要吹號筒，卻不要吹緊急聲。是亞倫子孫做祭司的要吹號筒：這要做你們世世代代永遠的條例。你們在本地若跟擾害你們的敵人交戰，就要用號筒吹緊急聲，那你們就要在永恆主你們的上帝面前被記起，也要得拯救脫離你們的仇敵。在你們的快樂日子和制定節期、及月初一、你們獻燔祭和平安祭的時候，也要用號筒吹緊急聲，這在你們的上帝面前要替你們使他記起：我永恆主是你們的上帝。』

這樣、以色列眾人就歡呼吹號角、拿號筒響鈸和琴瑟大聲作樂，將永恆主的約櫃接上來了。

上帝上去，有歡呼聲跟着；永恆主上去，有號角聲隨着。你們要唱揚上帝，要用樂曲來讚揚；要唱揚我們的王，用樂曲來讚揚。

於是大衛和以色列的長老和千夫長都歡歡喜喜地去、從俄別以東的住宅、將永恆主的約櫃接上來。

我必使他的仇敵披上羞辱；但他的冠冕必在他頭上發光。』
