你寿数满足、与你列祖同睡的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位；我也必坚定他的国。

迨爾年壽已滿、與爾列祖同寢、我必使爾所出之苗裔、所出之苗裔或作所生之子繼爾位、我亦必鞏固其國、

When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom.

Some day your life will come to an end. You will join the members of your family who have already died. Then I will make one of your own sons the next king after you. And I will make his kingdom secure.

When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong.

現在永恆主已經實行了他所說過的話；我已經起來接替我父親大衛、坐以色列的王位、照永恆主所說過的，我已經為永恆主耶和華以色列之上帝的名建了殿了。

大衛死的日子臨近了，他就囑咐他兒子所羅門說：

永恆主真地向大衛起誓過，他必不反覆變卦：他說：『你腹中出的果子、我必使其一位坐你寶座。你兒子們若守我的約、和我所教訓他們守的法度，他們的子孫也必永永遠遠坐你的寶座。』

永恆主對摩西說：『看吧，你將要跟你列祖一同長眠了；這人民必起來，在他們所要去的地上、在那地的人中間、變節去服事外族人的神，離棄我，違背我的約、就是我同他們所立的。

大衛是個神言人，他曉得上帝曾用起誓的話向他起誓，要使他後裔中有一位坐在他寶座上，

你在世的年日滿足、歸你列祖那裏的時候，我必立起你以後的苗裔，你子孫中的一位；我必堅立他的國。

論到大衛、他在自己的世代中奉行了上帝的計畫、就長眠下去，放在他祖宗旁邊，見了敗壞；

他的政權宏大，他的泰平無窮，在大衛的寶座上治理他的國，以公平公義堅立而支持它，從今時直到永遠。萬軍之永恆主的熱心必成就這事。

若不然，到我主我王跟列祖一同長眠了以後，我和我兒子所羅門就算為罪人了。』

當那日子、耶西的根所生的、那要立作萬族之民的旌旗的、列國人必尋求他；他的安居所必大有榮耀。

我必使他的後裔永久存在，使他的王位如天之壽命。

長眠在塵土之地裏的必有很多人復醒過來；其中有的必得永生，有的必受羞辱、永被憎惡。

『關於基督，你們以為怎樣？他是誰的子孫呢？』他們對他說，『大衛的。』耶穌對他們說，『那麼大衛在聖靈感動中怎麼還稱他為主，說：「主對我主說了：你坐在我右邊，等我處置你仇敵在你腳下」呢？

永恆主的話又傳與亞伯蘭說：『這個人必不會做你的後嗣；由你親腹出的，才要做你的後嗣。』

從耶西的樹𣎴子必生出一根枝條來，從他的根必發生一條嫩枝子。永恆主的靈必住在他身上，就是智慧和明達之靈，謀略和能力之靈，認識和敬畏永恆主的靈。他也樂聞敬畏永恆主的香氣。他行審判、不憑眼見，他斷是非，不憑耳聞；

請注意，我把一件奧祕告訴你們：我們不是都要長眠着，乃是都要改變，

我們既信耶穌死了又復起了，那麼照樣地那些長眠着的人、上帝也必藉着耶穌而帶領他們、和耶穌一同來。
