When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom.

Some day your life will come to an end. You will join the members of your family who have already died. Then I will make one of your own sons the next king after you. And I will make his kingdom secure.

When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

今我繼父大闢即位、已建此殿、奉事以色列族上帝耶和華、以籲其名、而耶和華前之所言應矣。

大闢逝世之期將至、囑其子所羅門曰、

耶和華兮、爾與大闢發誓、必不有易斯言、曰、將以爾所出之苗裔、俾繼厥位兮。如爾子孫恪守我約、遵從我命、則必昌熾爾後、綿長厥祚兮。

謂摩西曰、爾必返本、斯民既詣斯土、必遺棄我、背我所立之約、狥己私欲、從異邦人之上帝。

既為先知、即知上帝曾有誓言、由大闢裔、挺生基督以居其位、

爾逝世之期既至、得與祖父同墓、我將以爾所出之子、使繼爾位、鞏固其國、

蓋大闢生時、遵上帝旨、卒則與祖同朽、

繼大闢之位、其國昌大、長享綏安、保定之、延釐之、維公與正、自今而後、永世靡暨、萬有之主耶和華、必熱中而行之。

不然、則我主我王返本之後、我與我子將視同罪人矣。

當是時耶西之根株萌櫱、為民之纛、異邦族類歸之、其所在榮光爛焉。

克昌厥後、至於恆久、國祚永綏、與天同休兮、

長眠於地下者、其數甚眾、必甦而起、得永生者有之、受永辱者有之、

爾意基督為何如人、是誰之裔乎、曰、大闢之裔也、曰、大闢感於聖神、何稱基督為主耶、大闢有言曰、主謂我主云、坐我右、我將以爾敵置爾足下焉、

耶和華諭之曰、此非爾嗣、必自爾出者、乃為爾嗣。

耶西之根株、必將萌櫱、耶和華之神賦之、使有智慧、使有謀力、知耶和華之道而寅畏之、知人崇事耶和華之誠偽、不待目見耳聞、而是非悉辨、

我以奧妙示爾、吾眾無盡死、而悉能化、

若我信耶穌死而甦、我亦當信上帝將使宗耶穌而死者、與耶穌俱至、
