I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.

以色列全會眾都聚集在示羅，把會幕設立在那裏。那地已經被他們征服了。

摩西支起帳幕，安上帶卯眼的座，安上板，穿上橫木，立起柱子。他在帳幕的上面搭上罩棚，把罩棚外層的蓋子蓋在其上，是照着耶和華所吩咐他的。

「如果這樣，你們還不聽從我，行事與我作對，我就要向你們發烈怒，行事與你們作對，因你們的罪，加重七倍懲罰你們。

耶和華說：「我必親自去，讓你安心。」摩西說：「你若不親自去，就不要把我們從這裏領上去。

「如果這樣，你們還不接受管教歸向我，行事與我作對，我就要行事與你們作對，因你們的罪，加重七倍擊打你們。

「你要寫信給以弗所教會的使者，說：『那右手拿着七顆星，在七個金燈臺中間行走的這樣說：

因為耶和華－你的神在你營中走動，要拯救你，將仇敵交給你，所以你的營應當聖潔，免得他見你那裏有污穢之物就轉身離開你。」

自從我領以色列人上來，直到今日，我未曾住過殿宇；我從這會幕到那會幕，從這帳幕到那帳幕。凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列的一個士師，就是我吩咐牧養我百姓的，說過這話：你們為何不給我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？』

那時，雲彩遮蓋會幕，耶和華的榮光充滿了帳幕。摩西不能進會幕，因為雲彩停在其上，耶和華的榮光充滿了帳幕。每逢雲彩從帳幕升上去，以色列人就起程前行；雲彩若不升上去，他們就不起程，直等到雲彩升上去。在他們所行的路上，在以色列全家的眼前，白天，耶和華的雲彩在帳幕上，黑夜，有火在雲彩中。

「我們的祖宗在曠野，有作證的會幕，是神吩咐摩西照着他所看見的樣式做的。

神的殿和偶像有甚麼相同？因為我們是永生神的殿，就如神曾說：「我要在他們中間居住來往；我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。」

以色列人離開耶和華的山，往前行了三天的路程。耶和華的約櫃在前面行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安歇的地方。他們拔營往前行，日間有耶和華的雲彩在他們上面。約櫃往前行的時候，摩西說：「耶和華啊，求你興起！願你的仇敵潰散！願恨你的人從你面前逃跑！」約櫃停住的時候，他說：「以色列千萬人的耶和華啊，求你回來！」
