我自導以色列族出埃及以來、迄於今日、恆寓帷幕、未嘗居殿。

I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling.

I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt. But I have not lived in a house from then until now. I have been moving from place to place. I have been living in a tent.

所許之言曰、自耶和華導以色列民、出埃及以來、迄於今日、未嘗於以色列支派中、遴選一邑、使人建殿、為籲名之所、惟簡大闢、治理我民。

斯土既服、以色列會眾集於示羅、而立會幕、

置座、搆板、施楗、立柱、張幕、施幬於其上、循耶和華命。

汝猶不聽從我言、所行逆我、我必震怒、降罰於爾、督責爾罪、至於七倍、

耶和華曰、我必偕往、俾爾安居其所。摩西曰、若弗偕往、毋導我出此。

爾猶不順受譴責、所行逆我、我必降罰、督責爾罪、至於七倍、

爾當書達以弗所會使者、曰、主右執七星、行於七金燈臺間、言曰、

蓋爾上帝耶和華遨遊於營中、以拯爾曹、敗亡諸敵、故營必為潔、恐見污物、與爾相離。

我自導以色列族以來、迄於今日、未嘗居殿、由此遷彼、行於帷幕。我與以色列族偕行、不論何所、特簡數人、使牧我民、曷嘗命建柏香木殿、為我居所乎。

有雲覆會幕、耶和華之榮光盈其室、因雲覆之、耶和華之榮光盈之、故摩西不能進會幕、雲離會幕時、以色列族遄征、雲不移、民不行、晝則耶和華之雲籠罩幕上、及夜雲狀若火、以色列族遄征時、悉目擊焉。

昔於曠野、我列祖有幕可證、如上帝命摩西云、爾必遵所見幕式而造之、是後、上帝逐異邦人於我祖前、我祖與約書亞相承此幕、奉之入居其地、傳至大闢、

上帝之殿、木偶之像、何同之有、夫爾固永生上帝之殿也、上帝曰吾將居其內、遊其間、吾為彼上帝、彼為我民、

於是離耶和華之山、歷程三日、耶和華之法匱先行、將擇安處之所。民遄征時、耶和華之雲晝蔽其上。法匱移時、摩西曰、願耶和華起、使敵散處、使仇逋逃。法匱止時、則曰、願耶和華臨格以色列億兆。
