He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

He stationed some soldiers in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus. The people of Aram were brought under his rule. They gave him the gifts he required them to bring him. The Lord helped David win his battles everywhere he went.

Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

Then he placed several army garrisons in Damascus, the Aramean capital, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and paid him tribute money. So the Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

约拿单攻击非利士人在迦巴的驻军，非利士人听见了这事。扫罗就在遍地吹角，说：“让希伯来人都听见。”

约拿单对拿兵器的青年说：“来，我们过去到那些未受割礼之人的驻军那里，或者耶和华为我们施展能力，因为耶和华使人得胜，不在乎人多人少。”

凡投靠你的，愿他们喜乐，时常欢呼，因为你庇护他们；又愿那爱你名的人都靠你欢欣。耶和华啊，因为你必赐福给义人，你必用恩惠如同盾牌四面护卫他。

耶和华要保护你，免受一切的灾害，他要保护你的性命。你出你入，耶和华要保护你，从今时直到永远。

他教导我的手能争战，我的膀臂能开铜造的弓。你赐救恩给我作盾牌，你的右手扶持我，你的庇护使我为大。你使我脚步宽阔，我的脚踝未曾滑跌。我要追赶我的仇敌，且要追上他们；若不将他们灭绝，我总不归回。我要打伤他们，使他们站不起来；他们必倒在我的脚下。你曾以力量束我的腰，使我能争战；也曾使那起来攻击我的，都服在我以下。你又使我的仇敌在我面前转身逃跑，使我剪除那恨我的人。他们呼求，却无人拯救；就是呼求耶和华，他也不应允。我捣碎他们，如同风前的灰尘；倾倒他们，如同街上的泥土。你救我脱离百姓的纷争，立我作列国的元首；我素不认识的百姓必事奉我。他们一听见我的名声就必顺从我，外邦人要投降我。外邦人要丧胆，战战兢兢地出营寨。耶和华永远活着。愿我的磐石被称颂，愿救我的上帝受尊崇。

马是为打仗之日预备的；得胜却在于耶和华。

有一日，扫罗的儿子约拿单对拿他兵器的青年说：“来，我们过去到非利士的驻军那里。”但他没有告诉父亲。

于是在军营、在田野、在众百姓中，人心惶惶，驻军和突击队都战兢；地也震动，这是从上帝那里来的惊恐。

现在你们可以这样做了。因为耶和华曾论到大卫说：‘我必藉我仆人大卫的手，救我民以色列脱离非利士人和众仇敌的手。’”

耶和华—我的磐石是应当称颂的！他教导我的手争战，教导我的指头打仗。他是我慈爱的主、我的山寨、我的碉堡、我的救主、我的盾牌，是我所投靠的。他使我的百姓服在我以下。

他安置军兵在犹大一切坚固城里，又安置驻军在犹大地和他父亲亚撒所得以法莲的城镇中。

主—耶和华、我救恩的力量啊，在战争的日子，你遮蔽了我的头。

他又攻打摩押人，使他们躺卧在地上，用绳来量，量二绳的杀了，量一绳的活着。摩押人就臣服大卫，向他进贡。

那时大卫在山寨，非利士人的驻军在伯利恒。
