He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.

He stationed some soldiers in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus. The people of Aram were brought under his rule. They gave him the gifts he required them to bring him. The Lord helped David win his battles everywhere he went.

Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

Then he placed several army garrisons in Damascus, the Aramean capital, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and paid him tribute money. So the Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

你無論往哪裏去，我都與你同在，剪除你所有的仇敵。我必使你得大名，好像世上偉人的名一樣。

約拿單攻擊非利士人在迦巴的駐軍，非利士人聽見了這事。掃羅就在遍地吹角，說：「讓希伯來人都聽見。」

約拿單對拿兵器的青年說：「來，我們過去到那些未受割禮之人的駐軍那裏，或者耶和華為我們施展能力，因為耶和華使人得勝，不在乎人多人少。」

凡投靠你的，願他們喜樂，時常歡呼，因為你庇護他們；又願那愛你名的人都靠你歡欣。耶和華啊，因為你必賜福給義人，你必用恩惠如同盾牌四面護衛他。

耶和華要保護你，免受一切的災害，他要保護你的性命。你出你入，耶和華要保護你，從今時直到永遠。

他教導我的手能爭戰，我的膀臂能開銅造的弓。你賜救恩給我作盾牌，你的右手扶持我，你的庇護使我為大。你使我腳步寬闊，我的腳踝未曾滑跌。我要追趕我的仇敵，且要追上他們；若不將他們滅絕，我總不歸回。我要打傷他們，使他們站不起來；他們必倒在我的腳下。你曾以力量束我的腰，使我能爭戰；也曾使那起來攻擊我的，都服在我以下。你又使我的仇敵在我面前轉身逃跑，使我剪除那恨我的人。他們呼求，卻無人拯救；就是呼求耶和華，他也不應允。我搗碎他們，如同風前的灰塵；傾倒他們，如同街上的泥土。你救我脫離百姓的紛爭，立我作列國的元首；我素不認識的百姓必事奉我。他們一聽見我的名聲就必順從我，外邦人要投降我。外邦人要喪膽，戰戰兢兢地出營寨。耶和華永遠活着。願我的磐石被稱頌，願救我的上帝受尊崇。

馬是為打仗之日預備的；得勝卻在於耶和華。

有一日，掃羅的兒子約拿單對拿他兵器的青年說：「來，我們過去到非利士的駐軍那裏。」但他沒有告訴父親。

於是在軍營、在田野、在眾百姓中，人心惶惶，駐軍和突擊隊都戰兢；地也震動，這是從上帝那裏來的驚恐。

現在你們可以這樣做了。因為耶和華曾論到大衛說：『我必藉我僕人大衛的手，救我民以色列脫離非利士人和眾仇敵的手。』」

耶和華－我的磐石是應當稱頌的！他教導我的手爭戰，教導我的指頭打仗。他是我慈愛的主、我的山寨、我的碉堡、我的救主、我的盾牌，是我所投靠的。他使我的百姓服在我以下。

他安置軍兵在猶大一切堅固城裏，又安置駐軍在猶大地和他父親亞撒所得以法蓮的城鎮中。

主－耶和華、我救恩的力量啊，在戰爭的日子，你遮蔽了我的頭。

他又攻打摩押人，使他們躺臥在地上，用繩來量，量二繩的殺了，量一繩的活着。摩押人就臣服大衛，向他進貢。

那時大衛在山寨，非利士人的駐軍在伯利恆。
