爾自知當如何效我、蓋我未嘗妄行於爾中、

我素行、乃爾所知、當是則是效、我在爾中、未嘗無度、

爾曹自知當如何效我、蓋我儕於爾中、未嘗妄為、

蓋爾等固知應如何以吾儕為法也。吾儕昔在爾中、日用之間、未嘗不規行矩步、

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you,

You know how you should follow our example. We worked when we were with you.

For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, because we were not idle when we were with you,

For you know that you ought to imitate us. We were not idle when we were with you.

For you yourselves know how you should imitate us: We were not idle among you;

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined way among you,

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you;

For yourselves know how ye ought to imitate us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

For you yourselves know how you must imitate us: We were not irresponsible among you;

For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

For you know yourselves how you must imitate us, because we did not behave without discipline among you,

For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn’t behave ourselves rebelliously among you,

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. (niv)

We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. (niv)

Therefore I urge you to imitate me. (niv)

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. (niv)

Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. (niv)

In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness (niv)

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. (niv)

not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. (niv)

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. (niv)

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (niv)

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me— put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (niv)
