Jesus said to them again,“ Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

I’m not speaking about all of you; I know those I have chosen. But the Scripture must be fulfilled: The one who eats My bread has raised his heel against Me.

Approach Me and listen to this. From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time anything existed, I was there.” And now the Lord God has sent me and His Spirit.

“ The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those in Jacob who turn from transgression.” This is the Lord’s declaration.“ As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the Lord:“ My Spirit who is on you, and My words that I have put in your mouth, will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouth of your children, or from the mouth of your children’s children, from now on and forever,” says the Lord.

Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into His hands, that He had come from God, and that He was going back to God.

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.

Indeed, we have all received grace after grace from His fullness,

When the days were coming to a close for Him to be taken up, He determined to journey to Jerusalem.

I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

And while He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

Now that He has gone into heaven, He is at God’s right hand with angels, authorities, and powers subject to Him.

Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that His hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

For the Messiah did not enter a sanctuary made with hands( only a model of the true one) but into heaven itself, so that He might now appear in the presence of God for us.

For it says: When He ascended on high, He took prisoners into captivity; He gave gifts to people.But what does“ He ascended” mean except that He descended to the lower parts of the earth?The One who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.

“ This is My Servant; I strengthen Him, this is My Chosen One; I delight in Him. I have put My Spirit on Him; He will bring justice to the nations.

Now I am coming to You, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have My joy completed in them.

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;

Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?

The revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave Him to show His slaves what must quickly take place. He sent it and signified it through His angel to His slave John,

They said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen Him going into heaven.”

God raised up this man on the third day and permitted Him to be seen,not by all the people, but by us, witnesses appointed beforehand by God, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.He commanded us to preach to the people and to solemnly testify that He is the One appointed by God to be the Judge of the living and the dead.

“ Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.

Then He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;they will pick up snakes; if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”Then after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

If I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

Paul, an apostle— not from men or by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead—

“ Don’t cling to Me,” Jesus told her,“ for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to My brothers and tell them that I am ascending to My Father and your Father— to My God and your God.”

The city wall had 12 foundations, and the 12 names of the Lamb’s 12 apostles were on the foundations.

“ Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give the victor the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in God’s paradise.

We have this hope as an anchor for our lives, safe and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.Jesus has entered there on our behalf as a forerunner, because He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.

The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to Him all that they had done and taught.

Jesus replied to them,“ Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is the Devil!”

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him— a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.His delight will be in the fear of the Lord. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day,and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.And look, I am sending you what My Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.”

He also appointed 12— He also named them apostles— to be with Him, to send them out to preach,and to have authority to drive out demons.He appointed the Twelve: To Simon, He gave the name Peter;and to James the son of Zebedee, and to his brother John, He gave the name“ Boanerges”( that is,“ Sons of Thunder”);Andrew; Philip and Bartholomew; Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot,and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.

After Jesus was baptized, He went up immediately from the water. The heavens suddenly opened for Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on Him.

Summoning His 12 disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every disease and sickness.These are the names of the 12 apostles: First, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.

When daylight came, He summoned His disciples, and He chose 12 of them— He also named them apostles:Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot;Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

When they arrived, they went to the room upstairs where they were staying: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

so that you can remember the words previously spoken by the holy prophets and the command of our Lord and Savior given through your apostles.

For God sent Him, and He speaks God’s words, since He gives the Spirit without measure.

“ Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give the victor some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name is inscribed that no one knows except the one who receives it.
