And the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren that dwelt in Judæa:

The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

So the disciples determined, everyone according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.For according to their power, I bear witness, yea and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints:

they gave after their ability into the treasury of the work threescore and one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments.

and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they were gathered together with the church, and taught much people; and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?

And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, that were sold unto the nations; and would ye even sell your brethren, and should they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found never a word.

And seek not ye what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you.Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.Sell that which ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief draweth near, neither moth destroyeth.

only they would that we should remember the poor; which very thing I was also zealous to do.

For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:for I know your readiness, of which I glory on your behalf to them of Macedonia, that Achaia hath been prepared for a year past; and your zeal hath stirred up very many of them.

Now the apostles and the brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

but now, I say, I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints.For it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem.Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to minister unto them in carnal things.

Cast thy bread upon the waters; for thou shalt find it after many days.Give a portion to seven, yea, even unto eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I gave order to the churches of Galatia, so also do ye.Upon the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need.

For neither was there among them any that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;

using hospitality one to another without murmuring:according as each hath received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;if any man speaketh, speaking as it were oracles of God; if any man ministereth, ministering as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
