As any of the disciples had plenty, each determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea;

The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

The believers decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea. All of them helped as much as they could.

So the disciples determined, everyone according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

So the believers in Antioch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could.

Each of the disciples, according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brothers and sisters who lived in Judea.

And to the extent that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.For this is not that others may be eased and you distressed,but for equality. Your abundance at this present time supplies their lack, that their abundance also may become a supply for your lack; that there may be equality.

how in much proof of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their generosity.For according to their power, I testify, yes and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

They gave according to their ability into the treasury of the work sixty- one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments.

When he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they were gathered together with the assembly, and taught many people. The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said,“ I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”So that with good courage we say,“ The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

I said to them,“ We, after our ability, have redeemed our brothers the Jews that were sold to the nations; and would you even sell your brothers, and should they be sold to us?” Then they held their peace, and found not a word to say.

Don’t seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.

They only asked us to remember the poor— which very thing I was also zealous to do.

It is indeed unnecessary for me to write to you concerning the service to the saints,for I know your readiness, of which I boast on your behalf to those of Macedonia, that Achaia has been prepared for the past year. Your zeal has stirred up very many of them.

Now the apostles and the brothers who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

But now, I say, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in fleshly things.

Cast your bread on the waters; for you shall find it after many days.Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don’t know what evil will be on the earth.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I commanded the assemblies of Galatia, you do likewise.On the first day of every week, let each one of you save, as he may prosper, that no collections are made when I come.

All who believed were together, and had all things in common.They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.

For neither was there among them any who lacked, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,

doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;

Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
