When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread.

Herod saw that the death of James pleased some Jews. So he arrested Peter also. This happened during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

當誌是日、以為耶和華之節期、歷世守之、永為定例、○七日間、當食無酵餅、首日必於爾室除酵、自首日至七日、凡食酵者、必絕於以色列、首日必集聖會、七日亦集聖會、是二日、勿操作、惟備食而已、當守除酵節、蓋是日我導爾軍旅出埃及、歷世守之、永為定例、正月十四日夕、至二十一日夕、宜食無酵餅、七日間、勿存酵於爾室、無論賓旅土著、若食有酵之物、必絕於以色列會、有酵者勿食、凡百居所、當食無酵餅、○

世人忿怒、誠使爾得頌美、彼之餘怒、爾則禁之兮、

是月之望、為除酵節、以奉事耶和華、當食無酵餅、歷至七日、首日有聖會、毋作苦、此七日間、日獻火祭於耶和華、越至七日、亦有聖會、毋作苦、○耶和華諭摩西曰、告以色列族云、爾至我所賜爾之地、穫田所產、必取初實之穀一束、奉於祭司、安息日之翌日、祭司以之搖於耶和華前、冀蒙悅納、搖穀之日、必取一歲之牡羔、純全無疵、以為燔祭、獻於耶和華、和油之細麵伊法十分之二、以為素祭、獻於耶和華、為馨香之火祭、酒一欣四分之一、以為灌祭、此日之先、未獻斯祭於耶和華、餅與烘穀新穗、毋食、在爾所居之處、著為永例、歷世弗替、○

今我欲取信於人乎、抑欲取信於上帝乎、或求悅於人乎、若仍悅人、則非基督僕矣、○

眾見彼得約翰之果敢、且知其為無學無識之氓、則異之、又知其曾偕耶穌、

彼得與十一使徒立而揚聲曰、猶太人、與凡居於耶路撒冷者、宜知此、試聽我言、

爾當盡淨舊酵、俾成新團、如無酵然、蓋我儕之逾越羔已見宰、即基督也、故當守節、不以舊酵、不以暴很惡慝之酵、乃以純淨誠實之無酵餅焉、○
