我們從他蒙恩受了使徒的職分，為他的名在萬國中使人因信而順服，

因我們上帝憐憫的心腸，叫清晨的日光從高天臨到我們，

「主－以色列的上帝是應當稱頌的！因他眷顧他的百姓，為他們施行救贖，

不過，你們是被揀選的一族，是君尊的祭司，是神聖的國度，是屬上帝的子民，要使你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。「你們從前不是子民，現在卻成了上帝的子民；從前未曾蒙憐憫，現在卻蒙了憐憫。」
