You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.

你们看那按肉体是以色列人的，那些吃祭物的人岂不是与祭坛有份吗？那么，我怎么说呢？是说祭偶像之物算得了什么吗？或说偶像算得了什么吗？不，我是说，他们所献的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神；我不愿意你们与鬼来往。

然而，有几件事我要责备你，就是在你那里有人服从了巴兰的教训；这巴兰曾教唆巴勒将绊脚石放在以色列人面前，使他们吃祭过偶像之物，并且犯淫乱。

然而，有一件事我要责备你，就是你容忍那自称是先知的妇人耶洗别教唆我的仆人，引诱他们犯淫乱，吃祭过偶像之物。

末了，弟兄们，愿你们喜乐。要追求完全；要接受鼓励；要同心合意；要彼此和睦。如此，慈爱和平的神必与你们同在。

“因一切动物的生命，它的血就是它的生命。所以我对以色列人说：无论什么动物的血，你们都不可吃，因为一切动物的生命就是它的血。凡吃血的必被剪除。

不可因食物毁坏神的工作。一切都是洁净的，但有人因食物使人跌倒，这在他就是恶了。无论是吃肉是喝酒，是什么别的事，使弟兄跌倒，一概不做，才是善的。

在神—我们的父面前，清洁没有玷污的虔诚就是看顾在患难中的孤儿寡妇，并且保守自己不沾染世俗。

我凭着主耶稣确知深信，凡物本来没有不洁净的，除非人以为不洁净的，在他就不洁净了。你若因食物使弟兄忧愁，就不是按着爱心行事。基督已经为他死，你不可因你的食物使他败坏。

不可急于给人行按手礼；也不可在别人的罪上有份，要保守自己纯洁。

愿那能保守你们不失脚，使你们无瑕无疵、欢欢喜喜站在他荣耀之前的、

我在你们那里有缺乏的时候，并没有连累你们一个人，因为我所缺乏的，那些从马其顿来的弟兄都补足了。我向来凡事谨慎，将来也必谨慎，总不要连累你们。

亲爱的，至于你们，要在至圣的真道上造就自己，藉着圣灵祷告，保守自己常在神的爱中，仰望我们主耶稣基督的怜悯，进入永生。

就辞别他们，说：“神若许可，我还要回到你们这里来。”于是他上船离开以弗所。

又有一人说：“主啊，我要跟从你，但容许我先去辞别我家里的人。”

后来有人把要害他的计谋告诉我，我立刻把他解到你那里去，又命令告他的人在你面前告他。”
