问他们：“你们信的时候，是否领受了圣灵？”他们告诉他：“其实我们也没有听说过是否有圣灵。”

問他們：「你們信的時候，是否領受了聖靈？」他們告訴他：「其實我們也沒有聽說過是否有聖靈。」

爾信時曾受聖神否、對曰、聖神之臨、我未之聞也、

爾曹信後、曾受聖神否、曰、聖神降否、我未之聞也、

問之曰、爾曹信後、曾受聖神否、曰、我儕未聞有聖神、

『爾奉教後曾受聖神否？』答曰：『否、且未聞有聖神也。』

and asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered,“ No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?”“ No,” they answered.“ We haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

And he said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said,“ No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them.“ No,” they replied,“ we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

and asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”“ No,” they told him,“ we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him,“ On the contrary, we have not even heard if there is a Holy Spirit.”

he said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him,“ We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”

and he said unto them, Did ye receive the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether the Holy Spirit was given.

and asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”“ No,” they told him,“ we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

and said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They replied,“ No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They said to him,“ No, we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (niv)

So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? (niv)

“ As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.Then I remembered what the Lord had said:‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?” (niv)

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— (niv)

Peter replied,“ Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off— for all whom the Lord our God will call.” (niv)

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. (niv)

“‘ In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. (niv)

Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says,“ Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say,“ Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. (niv)

On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (niv)

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; (niv)

When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit,because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. (niv)

Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him. (niv)
