於是眾教會在信仰上日益堅固，人數天天增加。

因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女、以及一切在遠方、凡主我們的上帝所呼召的人。』

因為十字架之道、在滅亡着的人看是愚拙，在我們得救着的人看、卻是上帝的能力。

會外的人沒有一個敢接近使徒的；人民卻尊重他們。信主的人越發增加，一羣一羣的人、不但有男的，也有女的。

於是領受他話的人都受了洗；那一天約加了三千人。

因為巴拿巴是個好人，充滿着聖靈和信心，就有好大羣人歸服於主。

外國人聽了，就歡喜，將榮耀歸於主的道；凡被定得永生的都信了。

但是我們的拯救者上帝的慈惠和仁慈顯現的時候，他救了我們，不是由於我們所行的有甚麼本於義的行為，乃是按照他的憐憫，藉着再生之洗和聖靈之更新力。

本着這種原則來服事基督的、才是上帝所喜歡，又是人所試驗為可嘉的。

他所豫定的、他也呼召他們；他所呼召的、他也稱他們為義；他所稱義的、他使他們也得榮耀。

以賽亞也指着以色列喊着說：『以色列子孫的數目雖如海沙，將要得救的還只是剩下之餘數；

照樣看來，就是在現今這時期、也仍然有按恩典的揀選所留下的餘數呢。既是按着恩典，就不是由於行為了；不然，恩典就不再是恩典了。那麼便怎麼樣呢？以色列所切求的、他們竟然沒有得着；惟獨蒙揀選的人得着了。其餘的人就成了頑梗不化的；

耶穌在智慧和身量上、在得上帝和人的恩愛上、漸漸地增進。

官長們又威嚇一番，就把他們釋放了。為了人民的緣故、官長們都找不出怎樣來刑罰使徒，因為眾人為了所發生的事都將榮耀歸與上帝。

卻尋不出所可行的；因為眾民都緊纏着耶穌來聽他。

使徒用大能力提出主耶穌復活的見證來；眾人都大蒙恩惠。
