今我因聖神之促使、將赴耶路撒冷、遭遇如何、未可逆睹、

“ And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.

“ Now I am going to Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit compels me. I don’t know what will happen to me there.

And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there,

“ And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me,

“ And now I am on my way to Jerusalem, compelled by the Spirit, not knowing what I will encounter there,

And now, behold, bound by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,

And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

“ And now I am on my way to Jerusalem, bound in my spirit, not knowing what I will encounter there,

And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem without knowing what will happen to me there,

Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;

because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. (niv)

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (niv)

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. (niv)

While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols. (niv)

But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! (niv)

As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem. (niv)

Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, for he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost. (niv)

Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them,“ We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him;they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.” (niv)

It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. (niv)

Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.Then Paul answered,“ Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said,“ The Lord’s will be done.” (niv)

After all this had happened, Paul decided to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia.“ After I have been there,” he said,“ I must visit Rome also.” (niv)
