Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says:‘ So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

He came over to us. Then he took Paul’s belt and tied his own hands and feet with it. He said,“ The Holy Spirit says,‘ This is how the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will tie up the owner of this belt. They will hand him over to the Gentiles.’ ”

And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands and said,“ Thus says the Holy Spirit,‘ This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

He came over, took Paul’s belt, and bound his own feet and hands with it. Then he said,“ The Holy Spirit declares,‘ So shall the owner of this belt be bound by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem and turned over to the Gentiles.’”

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him over to the Gentiles.’”

And coming to us, and taking Paul’s girdle, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, Thus saith the Holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said,“ This is what the Holy Spirit says:‘ In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into Gentile hands.’”

And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver[ him] into the hands of the Gentiles.

He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says this:‘ This is the way the Jews in Jerusalem will tie up the man whose belt this is, and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”

Then the commanding officer came near, arrested him, commanded him to be bound with two chains, and inquired who he was and what he had done.

As Samuel turned around to go away, Saul grabbed the skirt of his robe, and it tore.Samuel said to him,“ Yahweh has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours who is better than you.

Yahweh said to me,“ Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water.”So I bought a belt according to Yahweh’s word, and put it on my waist.Yahweh’s word came to me the second time, saying,“ Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.”So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as Yahweh commanded me.After many days, Yahweh said to me,“ Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there.”Then I went to the Euphrates, and dug, and took the belt from the place where I had hidden it; and behold, the belt was ruined. It was profitable for nothing.Then Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,“ Yahweh says,‘ In this way I, will ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and have gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, will even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing.For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to me,’ says Yahweh;‘ that they may be to me for a people, for a name, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’

except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions wait for me.

For this cause therefore I asked to see you and to speak with you. For because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.”

But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.

Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made himself horns of iron, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ With these you will push the Syrians, until they are consumed.’”

When they had tied him up with thongs, Paul asked the centurion who stood by,“ Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and not found guilty?”

To them it was revealed, that they served not to themselves, but to you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

At that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the way. Now Ahijah had clad himself with a new garment; and the two of them were alone in the field.Ahijah took the new garment that was on him, and tore it in twelve pieces.He said to Jeroboam,“ Take ten pieces; for Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to you

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death,and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.”

When they had gone through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.

Paul said,“ I pray to God, that whether with little or with much, not only you, but also all that hear me today, might become such as I am, except for these bonds.”

When they didn’t agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one word,“ The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

After three days Paul called together those who were the leaders of the Jews. When they had come together, he said to them,“ I, brothers, though I had done nothing against the people or the customs of our fathers, still was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,

I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,

Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says,“ Today if you will hear his voice,

As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said,“ Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them.”

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Elisha said to him,“ Take bow and arrows;” and he took bow and arrows for himself.He said to the king of Israel,“ Put your hand on the bow;” and he put his hand on it. Elisha laid his hands on the king’s hands.He said,“ Open the window eastward;” and he opened it. Then Elisha said,“ Shoot!” and he shot. He said,“ Yahweh’s arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Syria; for you will strike the Syrians in Aphek, until you have consumed them.”He said,“ Take the arrows;” and he took them. He said to the king of Israel,“ Strike the ground;” and he struck three times, and stopped.The man of God was angry with him, and said,“ You should have struck five or six times. Then you would have struck Syria until you had consumed it; whereas now you will strike Syria just three times.”

For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles,

For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens.

I have also spoken to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets I have used parables.

For I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”

Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.

in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.

“ Then you shall break the container in the sight of the men who go with you,and shall tell them,‘ Yahweh of Armies says:“ Even so I will break this people and this city, as one breaks a potter’s vessel, that can’t be made whole again. They will bury in Topheth, until there is no place to bury.

The people asked me,“ Won’t you tell us what these things are to us, that you do so?”Then I said to them,“ Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,‘ Speak to the house of Israel,“ The Lord Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.You will do as I have done. You won’t cover your lips or eat mourner’s bread.Your turbans will be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You won’t mourn or weep; but you will pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.Thus Ezekiel will be a sign to you; according to all that he has done, you will do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.’”’”“ You, son of man, shouldn’t it be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart, their sons and their daughters,
