After receiving the commander’s permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the crowd. When they were all silent, he said to them in Aramaic:

The commander told him he could. So Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the crowd. When all of them were quiet, he spoke to them in the Aramaic language.

And when he had given him permission, Paul, standing on the steps, motioned with his hand to the people. And when there was a great hush, he addressed them in the Hebrew language, saying:

When they heard him speak to them in Aramaic, they became very quiet. Then Paul said: (niv)

We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic,‘ Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ (niv)

Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. (niv)

When Paul reached the steps, the violence of the mob was so great he had to be carried by the soldiers. (niv)

There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the jews. (niv)

When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement( which in Aramaic is Gabbatha). (niv)

In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. (niv)

Standing up, Paul motioned with his hand and said:“ Fellow Israelites and you Gentiles who worship God, listen to me! (niv)

Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull( which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). (niv)

They quickly took their cloaks and spread them under him on the bare steps. Then they blew the trumpet and shouted,“ Jehu is king!” (niv)

Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. (niv)

They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon( that is, Destroyer). (niv)

Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (niv)

The Jews in the crowd pushed Alexander to the front, and they shouted instructions to him. He motioned for silence in order to make a defense before the people. (niv)
