Let them therefore, saith he, that are of power among you go down with me, and if there is anything amiss in the man, let them accuse him.

Concerning whom, when the accusers stood up, they brought no charge of such evil things as I supposed;but had certain questions against him of their own religion, and of one Jesus, who was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands;If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me( Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary;)Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, And lay my glory in the dust.[ Selah

And when it was shown to me that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to thee forthwith, charging his accusers also to speak against him before thee.

from whom thou wilt be able, by examining him thyself, to take knowledge of all these things whereof we accuse him.
