『諸君、予觀此次航行、不惟船貨俱損、即吾儕之生命亦恐難保。』

“ Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I can see that our trip is going to be dangerous. The ship and everything in it will be lost. Our own lives will be in danger also.”

saying,“ Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I believe there is trouble ahead if we go on— shipwreck, loss of cargo, and danger to our lives as well.”

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward disaster and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

saying to them,“ Men, I perceive that the voyage will certainly be with damage and great loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

saying,“ Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.”

and said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the lading and the ship, but also of our lives.

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward damage and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

“ Men, I can see the voyage is going to end in disaster and great loss not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

and said to them,“ Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

But the ship struck a sandbar and ran aground. The bow stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was broken to pieces by the pounding of the surf.The soldiers planned to kill the prisoners to prevent any of them from swimming away and escaping.But the centurion wanted to spare Paul’s life and kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land.The rest were to get there on planks or on other pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land safely. (niv)

As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive, but so that Your Majesty may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind. (niv)

So Pharaoh asked them,“ Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. (niv)

Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. (niv)

The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. (niv)

The man of God sent word to the king of Israel:“ Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there.”So the king of Israel checked on the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places. (niv)

“ I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh,“ but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ In my dream I was standing on the bank of the Nile,when out of the river there came up seven cows, fat and sleek, and they grazed among the reeds.After them, seven other cows came up— scrawny and very ugly and lean. I had never seen such ugly cows in all the land of Egypt.The lean, ugly cows ate up the seven fat cows that came up first.But even after they ate them, no one could tell that they had done so; they looked just as ugly as before. Then I woke up.“ In my dream I saw seven heads of grain, full and good, growing on a single stalk.After them, seven other heads sprouted— withered and thin and scorched by the east wind.The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads. I told this to the magicians, but none of them could explain it to me.”Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved.After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said:“ Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss.But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed.Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside meand said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island.” (niv)

Now I urge you to take some food. You need it to survive. Not one of you will lose a single hair from his head.” (niv)

And,“ If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” (niv)

Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers,“ Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.” (niv)
