居無何、狂風驟起、其風名友羅革屯、

未幾颶風驟起逆舟、或作自島中颶風驟起其風名攸羅革屯、

未幾、颶風自島上撲來、是風名曰『友拉革羅、』譯言東北風；

Before very long, a wind of hurricane force, called the Northeaster, swept down from the island.

But the weather changed abruptly, and a wind of typhoon strength( called a“ northeaster”) burst across the island and blew us out to sea.

But before long, a stormy wind beat down from shore, which is called Euroclydon.

And a fierce gale of wind* developed, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling with water.

And behold, a violent storm developed on the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep.

But Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship that was going to Tarshish, paid the fare, and boarded it to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the Lord.However, the Lord hurled a great wind on the sea and there was a great storm on the sea, so that the ship was about to break up.Then the sailors became afraid and every man cried out to his god, and they hurled the cargo which was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone below into the stern of the ship, had lain down, and fallen sound asleep.

For He spoke and raised a stormy wind, Which lifted the waves of the sea.They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; Their soul melted away in their misery.They reeled and staggered like a drunken person, And were at their wits’ end.
