So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders. (niv)

After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened. (niv)

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self- discipline.So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. (niv)

The king is familiar with these things, and I can speak freely to him. I am convinced that none of this has escaped his notice, because it was not done in a corner. (niv)
