Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

于是他们唆使众人，说：“我们听过他说谤渎摩西和神的话。”

于是他们暗中唆使人说：“我们听过这个人针对摩西和神说亵渎的话语。”

於是，他們暗中唆使一些人誣告司提凡說：「我們聽見他說褻瀆摩西和上帝的話！」

於是他們唆使眾人，說：“我們聽過他說謗瀆摩西和神的話。”

於是他們教唆人說：『我們曾聽見他說了謗讟摩西和上帝的話。』

於是他們暗中唆使人說：「我們聽過這個人針對摩西和神說褻瀆的話語。」

遂賄人使言曰、我儕曾聞其有謗凟摩西及上帝之言、

乃賄人使流言曰、我聞此人、僭妄摩西及上帝、

乃賄人使流言云、我聞此人出言褻瀆摩西及天主、

眾乃唆使流言、謂其誹謗摩西、褻瀆天主。

Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,“ We have heard Stephen speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.”

Then in secret they talked some men into lying about Stephen. They said,“ We heard Stephen speak evil things against Moses and against God.”

Then they secretly instigated men who said,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

So they persuaded some men to lie about Stephen, saying,“ We heard him blaspheme Moses, and even God.”

Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,“ We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they suborned men, who said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

Then they persuaded some men to say,“ We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God!”

Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and[ against] God.

Then they secretly instigated some men to say,“ We have heard this man speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death;and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward,

They will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me.

Why not( as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say),“ Let’s do evil, that good may come?” Those who say so are justly condemned.

asking a favor against him, that he would summon him to Jerusalem; plotting to kill him on the way.

They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him,“ You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law.They have been informed about you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children and not to walk after the customs.What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come.

When it was day, some of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul.There were more than forty people who had made this conspiracy.They came to the chief priests and the elders, and said,“ We have bound ourselves under a great curse to taste nothing until we have killed Paul.Now therefore, you with the council inform the commanding officer that he should bring him down to you tomorrow, as though you were going to judge his case more exactly. We are ready to kill him before he comes near.”

When they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers,saying,“ Say that his disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.”So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until today.

When he had come, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him, bringing against him many and grievous charges which they could not prove,

and set up false witnesses who said,“ This man never stops speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.

He who blasphemes Yahweh’s name, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native- born shall be put to death when he blasphemes the Name.

although I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

When they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook out his clothing and said to them,“ Your blood be on your own heads! I am clean. From now on, I will go to the Gentiles!”

This is that Moses, who said to the children of Israel,‘ The Lord our God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.’This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living revelations to give to us,to whom our fathers wouldn’t be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Egypt,

crying out,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place. Moreover, he also brought Greeks into the temple, and has defiled this holy place!”

“ Don’t think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, even Moses, on whom you have set your hope.For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me.But if you don’t believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”

For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

Set two men, wicked fellows, before him, and let them testify against him, saying,‘ You cursed God and the king!’ Then carry him out, and stone him to death.”The men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had instructed them in the letters which she had written and sent to them.They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.The two men, the wicked fellows, came in and sat before him. The wicked fellows testified against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king!” Then they carried him out of the city and stoned him to death with stones.

who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also Moses was in all his house.For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house.For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,

We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

After five days, the high priest, Ananias, came down with certain elders and an orator, one Tertullus. They informed the governor against Paul.When he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying,“ Seeing that by you we enjoy much peace, and that prosperity is coming to this nation by your foresight,we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.But that I don’t delay you, I entreat you to bear with us and hear a few words.For we have found this man to be a plague, an instigator of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.He even tried to profane the temple, and we arrested him.

For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Punishing them often in all the synagogues, I tried to make them blaspheme. Being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

The Jews answered him,“ We don’t stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy: because you, being a man, make yourself God.”Jesus answered them,“ Isn’t it written in your law,‘ I said, you are gods?’If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came( and the Scripture can’t be broken),do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world,‘ You blaspheme,’ because I said,‘ I am the Son of God?’
