誰如智慧人呢？誰知道事情的解釋呢？人的智慧使他的臉發光，改變他臉上暴戾之氣。

那用字刻在石頭上屬死的事奉尚且有榮光，以致以色列人因摩西臉上那逐漸褪色的榮光不能定睛看他的臉，那屬聖靈的事奉不是更有榮光嗎？

那時，義人要在他們父的國裏發出光來，像太陽一樣。有耳的，就應當聽！」

既然我們眾人以揭去面紗的臉得以看見主的榮光，好像從鏡子裏返照，就變成了與主有同樣的形像，榮上加榮，如同從主的靈變成的。

摩西下西奈山。摩西從山上下來的時候，手裏拿着兩塊法版。摩西不知道自己臉上的皮膚因耶和華和他說話而發光。亞倫和以色列眾人看見摩西，看哪，他臉上的皮膚發光，他們就怕靠近他。摩西叫他們來，亞倫和會眾的官長回到他那裏，摩西就跟他們說話。隨後以色列眾人都近前來，他就把耶和華在西奈山與他所說的一切話都吩咐他們。摩西跟他們說完了話，就用面紗蒙上臉。但摩西進到耶和華面前與他說話的時候，就把面紗揭下，直到出來。摩西出來，將所吩咐他的話告訴以色列人。以色列人看見摩西的臉，他臉上的皮膚發光。摩西就用面紗蒙上臉，直到他進去與耶和華說話才揭下。

他在他們面前變了形像，他的臉明亮如太陽，衣裳潔白如光。

但是我告訴你們：凡向弟兄動怒的，必須受審判；凡罵弟兄是廢物的，必須受議會的審判；凡罵弟兄是白痴的，必須遭受地獄的火。
