“ I sent plagues among you as I did to Egypt. I killed your young men with the sword, along with your captured horses. I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camps, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.

“ I sent plagues on you, just as I did on Egypt. I killed your young men by swords. I also let the horses you had captured be killed. I filled your noses with the stink of your camps. In spite of that, you still have not returned to me,” announces the Lord.

“ I sent among you a pestilence after the manner of Egypt; I killed your young men with the sword, and carried away your horses, and I made the stench of your camp go up into your nostrils; yet you did not return to me,” declares the Lord.

“ I sent plagues on you like the plagues I sent on Egypt long ago. I killed your young men in war and led all your horses away. The stench of death filled the air! But still you would not return to me,” says the Lord.

I sent plagues like those of Egypt; I killed your young men with the sword, along with your captured horses. I caused the stench of your camp to fill your nostrils, yet you did not return to me. This is the LORD’s declaration.

And I will bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant. When you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be given into enemy hands. (niv)

“ I will drive the northern horde far from you, pushing it into a parched and barren land; its eastern ranks will drown in the Dead Sea and its western ranks in the Mediterranean Sea. And its stench will go up; its smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things! (niv)

Nothing had been left of the army of Jehoahaz except fifty horsemen, ten chariots and ten thousand foot soldiers, for the king of Aram had destroyed the rest and made them like the dust at threshing time. (niv)

He will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you. (niv)

“ I gave you empty stomachs in every city and lack of bread in every town, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord. (niv)

Moab will be destroyed and her towns invaded; her finest young men will go down in the slaughter,” declares the King, whose name is the Lord Almighty. (niv)

So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel, and for a long time he kept them under the power of Hazael king of Aram and Ben-Hadad his son. (niv)

therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says:“ I will punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine. (niv)

So give their children over to famine; hand them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives be made childless and widows; let their men be put to death, their young men slain by the sword in battle. (niv)

You still set yourself against my people and will not let them go. (niv)

In those days the Lord began to reduce the size of Israel. Hazael overpowered the Israelites throughout their territory (niv)

the magicians said to Pharaoh,“ This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hard and he would not listen, just as the Lord had said. (niv)

“ Why is my lord weeping?” asked Hazael.“ Because I know the harm you will do to the Israelites,” he answered.“ You will set fire to their fortified places, kill their young men with the sword, dash their little children to the ground, and rip open their pregnant women.” (niv)

then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it. (niv)

“ I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,” declares the Lord,“ the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy. (niv)

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites did this. (niv)

Your carcasses will be food for all the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away.The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. (niv)

When Pharaoh saw that the rain and hail and thunder had stopped, he sinned again: He and his officials hardened their hearts.So Pharaoh’s heart was hard and he would not let the Israelites go, just as the Lord had said through Moses. (niv)

But the people have not returned to him who struck them, nor have they sought the Lord Almighty. (niv)

the hand of the Lord will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the field— on your horses, donkeys and camels and on your cattle, sheep and goats.But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and that of Egypt, so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.’”The Lord set a time and said,“ Tomorrow the Lord will do this in the land.”And the next day the Lord did it: All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the Israelites died. The Lord will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you. (niv)

“ They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried but will be like dung lying on the ground. They will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the birds and the wild animals.” (niv)

Say,“ This is what the Lord declares:“‘ Dead bodies will lie like dung on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.’” (niv)

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said to Moses. (niv)

He said,“ If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” (niv)

He unleashed against them his hot anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility— a band of destroying angels.He prepared a path for his anger; he did not spare them from death but gave them over to the plague. (niv)

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me. (niv)

The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. (niv)

“‘ At that time, declares the Lord, the bones of the kings and officials of Judah, the bones of the priests and prophets, and the bones of the people of Jerusalem will be removed from their graves.They will be exposed to the sun and the moon and all the stars of the heavens, which they have loved and served and which they have followed and consulted and worshiped. They will not be gathered up or buried, but will be like dung lying on the ground. (niv)

But I am full of the wrath of the Lord, and I cannot hold it in.“ Pour it out on the children in the street and on the young men gathered together; both husband and wife will be caught in it, and the old, those weighed down with years. (niv)
