如此之言、虛有智慧之表、徒令人多諱忌、妄自菲薄、戕賊己身、而於真正克己工夫、毫無實益也。

Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

It is true that these rules seem wise. Because of them, people give themselves over to their own kind of worship. They pretend they are humble. They treat their bodies very badly. But rules like these don’t help. They don’t stop people from chasing after sinful pleasures.

那样的人是假使徒，行事诡诈，装作基督的使徒。这也不足为奇，因为连撒但也装作光明的天使。所以，他的差役若装作公义的差役也没有什么大不了。他们的结局必然跟他们的行为相符。

你们要谨慎，免得有人用他的哲学和虚空的废话，不照着基督，而是照人间的传统和世上粗浅的学说，把你们掳去。

从来没有人恨恶自己的身体，总是保养爱惜，正像基督待教会一样，

“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们好像粉饰了的坟墓，外面好看，里面却满了死人的骨头和一切的污秽。你们也是如此，外面对人显出公义，里面却满了虚伪和不法的事。

因为神知道，你们吃的日子眼睛就开了，你们就像神一样知道善恶。”于是女人见那棵树好作食物，又悦人的眼目，那树令人喜爱，能使人有智慧，她就摘下果子吃了，又给了与她一起的丈夫，他也吃了。
