And entrust what you heard me say in the presence of many others as witnesses to faithful people who will be competent to teach others as well.

Watch out for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son.

One should think about us this way– as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful.

My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to serve in his presence and offer sacrifices.”

I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:Preach the message, be ready whether it is convenient or not, reprove, rebuke, exhort with complete patience and instruction.For there will be a time when people will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, following their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves, because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things.And they will turn away from hearing the truth, but on the other hand they will turn aside to myths.You, however, be self- controlled in all things, endure hardship, do an evangelist’s work, fulfill your ministry.

Because of this I remind you to rekindle God’s gift that you possess through the laying on of my hands.

Moses then said to Aaron,“ This is what the LORD spoke:‘ Among the ones close to me I will show myself holy, and in the presence of all the people I will be honored.’” So Aaron kept silent.

O Timothy, protect what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the profane chatter and absurdities of so- called“ knowledge.”

Moreover, they will teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and show them how to distinguish between the ceremonially unclean and the clean.“‘ In a controversy they will act as judges; they will judge according to my ordinances. They will keep my laws and my statutes regarding all my appointed festivals and will observe my Sabbaths.

You will be responsible for the care of the sanctuary and the care of the altar, so that there will be no more wrath on the Israelites.

But you, as a person dedicated to God, keep away from all that. Instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance, and gentleness.Compete well for the faith and lay hold of that eternal life you were called for and made your good confession for in the presence of many witnesses.I charge you before God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who made his good confession before Pontius Pilate,to obey this command without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ

Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

By pointing out such things to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, having nourished yourself on the words of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.
