这些年轻人必须没有残疾、英俊、足智多才、有高度学习能力、明察事理，而且他们必须有能力可以在王宫里工作。你要教他们学习迦勒底的文学和语言。”

他们没有任何残疾，样貌美好，在各样的智慧上明达，明白知识，在学识上有悟性，有能力在王宫中侍立；王又吩咐太监长教导他们迦勒底人的文学和语言。

他們沒有任何殘疾，樣貌美好，在各樣的智慧上明達，明白知識，在學識上有悟性，有能力在王宮中侍立；王又吩咐太監長教導他們迦勒底人的文學和語言。

即少年無疵、美姿容、嫻智慧、具知識、明格致、可侍於王宮者、教以迦勒底人之學術語言、

皆無瑕疵、丰采甚都、智識兼備、可立於朝者、教以迦勒底人語言文字王日賜以糈糧酒醴、比及三年、乃使侍於王前、

選少者數人、皆須無瑕疵、相貌俊美、通達各學各術、知識具備、可侍立於王宮者、當教之以迦勒底之文詞言語、

young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.

He was looking for young men who were healthy and handsome. They had to be able to learn anything. They had to be well educated. They had to have the ability to understand new things quickly and easily. The king wanted men who could serve in his palace. Ashpenaz was supposed to teach them the Babylonian language and writings.

youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king’s palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

“ Select only strong, healthy, and good looking young men,” he said.“ Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace. Train these young men in the language and literature of Babylon.”

在你國中有一人，他裏頭有神聖神明的靈，你父在世的日子，這人心中光明，又有聰明智慧，好像神明的智慧。你父尼布甲尼撒王，就是王的父，曾立他為術士、巫師、迦勒底人和觀兆者的領袖，

摩西學了埃及人一切的學問，說話辦事都有才能。

全以色列中，無人像押沙龍那樣俊美，得人稱讚，從腳底到頭頂毫無瑕疵。

你看見辦事殷勤的人嗎？他必侍立在君王面前，不在平庸的人面前。

人若傷害鄰舍以致殘疾，他怎樣做，也要照樣向他做：以傷還傷，以眼還眼，以牙還牙。他怎樣使人有殘疾，也要照樣向他做。

這四個少年，神在各樣文字學問上賜給他們知識和聰明；但以理又明白各樣異象和夢兆。王吩咐帶他們進宮的日子到了，太監長就把他們帶到尼布甲尼撒面前。王與他們談論，在所有少年中找不到人能與但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亞撒利雅相比，於是他們就在王面前侍立。王考問他們一切智慧和聰明的事，發現他們比全國所有的術士和巫師勝過十倍。

因為凡有殘疾的，無論是失明的、瘸腿的、五官不正的、肢體之一過長的、斷腳的、斷手的、駝背的、侏儒的、有眼疾的、長癬的、長疥的，或是睪丸壓傷的，都不可近前來。亞倫祭司的後裔，凡有殘疾的都不可近前來獻耶和華的火祭。他有殘疾，不可近前來獻神的食物。

大聲吩咐將巫師、迦勒底人和觀兆的領進來。王對巴比倫的智慧人說：「誰能讀這文字，並且向我講解它的意思，他必身穿紫袍，項帶金鏈，在我國中位列第三。」

就在那時，摩西生了下來，神看為俊美，在父親家裏被撫養了三個月。

迦勒底人用亞蘭話對王說：「願王萬歲！請將夢告訴僕人，我們就可以講解。」王回答迦勒底人說：「這事我已決定，你們若不把夢和夢的解釋告訴我，就必被凌遲，你們的房屋必成糞堆；

王吩咐人將術士、巫師、行邪術的和迦勒底人召來，要他們把王的夢告訴王；他們就來，站在王面前。

於是那些術士、巫師、迦勒底人、觀兆的都進來，我將那夢告訴他們，他們卻不能把夢的解釋告訴我。

基甸對西巴和撒慕拿說：「你們在他泊山所殺的人是甚麼樣子的？」他們說：「他們很像你，個個都有王子的樣子。」

在那時，有幾個迦勒底人進前來控告猶大人。

智慧使擁有智慧的人比城中十個官長更有能力。

好獻給自己，作榮耀的教會，毫無玷污、皺紋等類的缺陷，而是聖潔沒有瑕疵的。

迦勒底人回答王說：「世上沒有人能解釋王的事情；從來沒有君王、大臣、掌權者向術士、巫師，或迦勒底人問過這樣的事。

但以理說：「神的名是應當稱頌的，從亙古直到永遠！因為智慧和能力都屬乎他。他改變時間、季節，他廢王，立王；將智慧賜給智慧人，將知識賜給聰明人。
