心驕志肆、終必隕越。

今王既擊以東人、中心驕奢、深居九重、亦可已矣。何為自取其禍、欲與猶大族偕亡。

希西家不酬斯恩、中心驕泰、於是干上帝震怒、降災於猶大族、耶路撒冷民、

以詭譎克敵、心志驕侈、承平之際、殲滅眾民、違逆諸君之君、其敗亡也、豈由於人哉。

國強心驕、以召禍患、干上帝耶和華命、入殿焚香於壇。

今王既擊以東人、中心驕奢、以此為榮、深居九重、亦可已矣。何為自取其禍、欲與猶大族偕亡乎。

自高不安其心、義人以信得生、維彼敵人、沉湎於酒者、廉恥道喪、居心粗浮者、遨遊遠方、貪欲無藝、若陰司暗府、無日充盈焉、彼使邦國、咸歸統轄、斯眾必作歌以譏刺、曰、他人之財、充積爾家、質當之物、盡歸爾身、久而不償、禍必不遠、

少者當服長老、彼此相順、必以謙讓為衣服、驕泰者、上帝擯斥、卑遜者、上帝賜恩、

甫入教者、未可為督、恐自衒與魔鬼同刑、

恐爾驕奢、忘爾之上帝耶和華、昔導爾出埃及、脫爾於賤役、

因其威儀、億兆族姓、戰慄於前、生殺昇降、皆出王衷、既驕奢其心、剛愎其志、乃黜王位、去其尊榮、

巧於貿易、日臻富厚、因而心驕、

人子、當告推羅王云、主耶和華曰、爾中心驕泰、自謂可匹上帝、其邑在海中、若上帝位、爾雖自謂可匹上帝、終屬凡民、非上帝也。

爾因美麗、中心驕泰、亦因光彩、失其智慧、故我必傾圮爾、使列王目睹。
