於是北王必至、築營壘、取堅城、南方之軍、不能禦之、其選兵亦無力以禦焉、

北王既至、築營建壘、取鞏固之邑、南王率其精銳之士、無能扞禦、

北方之王既至、築營建壘、取鞏固之城、南方軍旅、必不能禦之、必不能禦之原文作必不能立即其選擇之精卒、亦無力以禦敵、無力以禦敵原文作無力以立

Then the king of the North will come and build up siege ramps and will capture a fortified city. The forces of the South will be powerless to resist; even their best troops will not have the strength to stand.

Then the king of Syria will go to a certain city that has high walls around it. He will build ramps against them. And he will capture that city. The forces of Egypt will not have the power to stop him. Even their best troops will not be strong enough to stand up against him.

Then the king of the north shall come and throw up siegeworks and take a well-fortified city. And the forces of the south shall not stand, or even his best troops, for there shall be no strength to stand.

Then the king of the north will come and lay siege to a fortified city and capture it. The best troops of the south will not be able to stand in the face of the onslaught.

Then the king of the North will come, build up a siege ramp, and capture a well-fortified city. The forces of the South will not stand; even their select troops will not be able to resist.

Then the king of the North will come, pile up an assault ramp, and capture a well fortified city; and the forces of the South will not stand their ground, not even their choicest troops, for there will be no strength to make a stand.

So the king of the North shall come and build a siege mound, and take a fortified city; and the forces of the South shall not withstand him. Even his choice troops shall have no strength to resist.

So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mound, and take a well- fortified city: and the forces of the south shall not stand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to stand.

Then the king of the North will come, build up an assault ramp, and capture a well-fortified city. The forces of the South will not stand; even their select troops will not be able to resist.

So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither[ shall there be any] strength to withstand.

Then the king of the north will advance and will build siege mounds and capture a well-fortified city. The forces of the south will not prevail, not even his finest contingents. They will have no strength to prevail.

So the king of the north will come and cast up a mound, and take a well- fortified city. The forces of the south won’t stand, neither will his chosen people, neither will there be any strength to stand.

Pharaoh with his mighty army and great horde will be of no help to him in war, when ramps are built and siege works erected to destroy many lives. (niv)

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Cut down the trees and build siege ramps against Jerusalem. This city must be punished; it is filled with oppression. (niv)

Then lay siege to it: Erect siege works against it, build a ramp up to it, set up camps against it and put battering rams around it. (niv)

For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about the houses in this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used against the siege ramps and the sword (niv)

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. (niv)

After some years, they will become allies. The daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to make an alliance, but she will not retain her power, and he and his power will not last. In those days she will be betrayed, together with her royal escort and her father and the one who supported her. (niv)

I saw it attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering its two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against it; the goat knocked it to the ground and trampled on it, and none could rescue the ram from its power. (niv)

“ Go through her vineyards and ravage them, but do not destroy them completely. Strip off her branches, for these people do not belong to the Lord. (niv)

So in the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his whole army. They encamped outside the city and built siege works all around it. (niv)

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord. (niv)
