After he has arisen, his empire will be broken up and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven. It will not go to his descendants, nor will it have the power he exercised, because his empire will be uprooted and given to others.

这犄角被折断，在它的原处兴起的四只犄角，就是从希腊王的国中将要兴起的四个王权，只是他们都没有他的力量。

但以理开口说：“我在夜间的异象中正在观看，看哪，天上四方的风搅动大海！

“我正在注视这些犄角，看哪，有另一只小犄角在它们中间长出来，先前的那些犄角中有三只从它面前被连根拔出！看哪，这犄角上有眼睛，好像人的眼睛，又有说大话的口！

人们往来行走，只是幻像；他们喧闹，也是虚空；他们积蓄，却不知道谁会收取。

我恨恶自己一切的劳苦，就是我在日光之下的劳碌所为，因为我必把劳苦所得留给在我之后来的人。那人是智慧是愚笨，谁知道呢？他却要掌管我劳苦所得的一切，就是我在日光之下用智慧得来的。这也是虚空！

耶稣知道他们的想法，就对他们说：“任何一个国家，如果自相纷争就成为荒芜；任何一个城或家庭，如果自相纷争就站立不住。

“可是神对他说：‘你这愚妄的人哪！今夜，他们就要召回你的灵魂了。那么，你所预备的要归谁呢？’

我曾看到恶人的强横，像本地青翠的树那样蔓延；但他很快就消逝了，看哪，他不复存在！虽然我寻找他，却找不到。

“此后我继续观看，看哪，又有另一只兽好像豹子！它的背上有鸟的四个翅膀；这兽有四个头，并且被赐予了权柄。

有一个人孤单无伴，连儿子和兄弟也没有；但他各样的劳苦却没有穷尽，他的眼目也不因财富而满足；他问：“我如此劳苦，也不让自己过好日子，到底是为了谁呢？”这也是虚空，是极重的担子！

他们只是依靠财富、自夸多财的人。人实在不能救赎弟兄，也不能把他的赎价交给神，——因为灵魂的赎价昂贵，人只好永远罢休——好使他永久存活，不看到阴坑。要知道，人必看见智慧人也会死；愚昧人和愚拙人一同灭亡，把他们的财富留给别人。他们以为自己的家必存到永远，他们的住所必存到万代；他们用自己的名字给土地命名。可是人在尊荣中不能持久，就像要灭亡的牲畜一样。

直到我进了神的圣所，才明白他们的结局：你确实把他们放在易滑之地，使他们仆倒灭亡。他们怎么在一瞬间就成了废墟呢？他们被恐怖的事彻底扫除！人醒来时怎样轻视梦，主啊，你醒起时，也会怎样轻视梦幻般的他们！
