箭悉磨礪、弓盡開張、馬蹏堅如火石、車輪疾如旋風、

明哲者中、數人顛蹶、以試鍊其餘、使之清淨潔白、直至末期、蓋斯事於所定之期必必或作方應驗、

北方王之諸子、又興爭戰、招聚多軍、北方王之一子、率軍前往、勢若洪水氾濫、又攻南方王鞏固之城、

爾但以理、當謹秘此言、錄之於書、以書封緘、以待末期、眾將稽察、增益見識、○

先知曰、主必為民顯現、主發之矢、猶如電閃、主天主必吹角、乘南方之烈風而至、

論海濱之曠野有預言曰、敵軍自曠野、自可懼之地而來、勢如南方之狂風、飄颺而至、

敵人如雲而來、車如颶風、馬疾於鷹、我儕敗亡、禍哉禍哉、
