爾但以理謹秘斯書、鈐之以印、末期既屆、眾將察之、益其識見、

曰、但以理往哉、斯言隱秘封緘、以俟末期、

又語我曰、勿封此書之預言、蓋其日期伊邇、

異象中所論日日原文作晝夜之數亦真、爾記此異象而封之、蓋越多日始應、

彼至我立之所、彼來時、我甚懼、面伏於地、彼告我曰、人子、當知此異象、末期必應、末期必應或作乃指末期之事

七雷發聲之後、我欲書之、惟聞自天有聲語我曰、七雷所語、當隱秘勿書、
