He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

He asked them to pray that the God of heaven would give him mercy. He wanted God to help him understand the mystery of the king’s dream. Then he and his friends wouldn’t be killed along with Babylon’s other wise men.

假如這五十個義人中缺少了五個，你會因為缺少了五個就毀滅全城嗎？”他說：“我若在那裡找到四十五個，我也不會毀滅那城。”

大衛又說：“那曾救我脫離獅爪和熊掌的耶和華，也必救我脫離這非利士人的手。”於是掃羅對大衛說：“你去吧！願耶和華與你同在。”

那時，你們就要再看出義人與惡人、事奉神的人和不事奉他的人之間有甚麼分別。”

也許耶和華你的神聽見拉伯沙基的話，就是他的主人亞述王派他來辱罵永活的神的話；耶和華你的神會因他所聽見的話斥責他；因此，求你為餘剩下來的人獻上禱告。’”

然而主站在我旁邊，加給我力量，使福音的信息藉著我盡都傳開，萬國的人都可以聽見；他並且把我從獅子口中救出來。主必救我脫離一切邪惡的事，也必救我進入他天上的國。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

以斯帖吩咐人回覆末底改說：“你要去，把書珊城所有的猶大人都召集起來，為我禁食三天，就是三日三夜不吃不喝；我和我的婢女也要這樣禁食。然後我就違例進去見王；我若是死，就死吧。”於是末底改離開了，照著以斯帖吩咐的一切去行。

你們認為怎樣？有一個人，他有一百隻羊，如果失了一隻，他會不把九十九隻留在山上，去尋找那迷失的嗎？

主知道怎樣搭救敬虔的人脫離試探，又把不義的人留下來，等候在審判的日子受刑罰，

捉到了，就把他關在監裡，交給四班士兵看守，每班四個人，打算過了逾越節，把他提出來交給民眾。

他們聽了，就同心向神高聲說：“主啊，你是那創造天地、海洋和其中萬物的主宰。你曾以聖靈藉著你僕人我們祖先大衛的口說：‘列國為甚麼騷動？萬民為甚麼空謀妄想？地上的君王都起來，首領聚在一起，敵對主和他的受膏者。’希律和本丟．彼拉多，外族人和以色列民，真的在這城裡聚集，反對你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，行了你手和你旨意所預定要成就的一切。主啊，他們恐嚇我們，現在求你鑒察，也賜你僕人們大有膽量，傳講你的道。求你伸手醫治，藉著你聖僕耶穌的名，大行神蹟奇事。”他們禱告完了，聚會的地方震動起來，他們都被聖靈充滿，放膽傳講神的道。

弟兄們，我靠著我們的主耶穌基督，憑著聖靈的慈愛，勸你們和我一同竭力為我向神祈禱，

你要一心仰賴耶和華，不可倚靠自己的聰明；在你一切所行的路上，都要承認他，他必使你的路徑平坦正直。

如果我們被扔在火窰裡，我們所事奉的神必能拯救我們；王啊！他必拯救我們脫離烈火的窰和你的手。（本節或譯：“如果我們所事奉的神能拯救我們，王啊！他必拯救我們脫離烈火的窰和你的手。”）
