于是称为伯提沙撒的但以理惊讶片时，心意惊惶。王说：“伯提沙撒啊，不要因梦和梦的讲解惊惶。”伯提沙撒回答说：“我主啊，愿这梦归与恨恶你的人，讲解归与你的敌人。

但以理亦名伯底沙撒、一聞我言、不覺驚駭竟晷、中心鬱陶、余曰、伯底沙撒勿為余夢及兆、鬱伊不止、對曰、願此夢之兆、應於敵人、勿為王躬之咎、

稱伯提沙撒之但以理、一聞我言、驚訝片時、中心惶恐、我尼布甲尼撒王曰、伯提沙撒、勿為夢與夢兆惶恐、伯提沙撒曰、我主、願其夢應於王之仇、願其兆驗驗或作臨於王之敵、

Then Daniel( also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said,“ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries!

Daniel, who was also called Belteshazzar, was very bewildered for a while. His thoughts terrified him. So the king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its meaning make you afraid.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My master, I wish the dream were about your enemies! I wish its meaning had to do with them!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was dismayed for a while, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king answered and said,“ Belteshazzar, let not the dream or the interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered and said,“ My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you and its interpretation for your enemies!

“ Upon hearing this, Daniel( also known as Belteshazzar) was overcome for a time, frightened by the meaning of the dream. Then the king said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, don’t be alarmed by the dream and what it means.’“ Belteshazzar replied,‘ I wish the events foreshadowed in this dream would happen to your enemies, my lord, and not to you!

Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was stunned for a moment, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream apply to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!

The king responded and said,‘ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.’ Belteshazzar replied,‘ My lord, if only the dream applied to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for a time, and his thoughts troubled him. So the king spoke, and said,“ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation trouble you.” Belteshazzar answered and said,“ My Lord, may the dream concern those who hate you, and its interpretation concern your enemies!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken dumb for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine adversaries.

Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was stunned for a moment, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream apply to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!

Then Daniel, whose name[ was] Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream[ be] to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

Then Daniel( whose name is also Belteshazzar) was upset for a brief time; his thoughts were alarming him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream and its interpretation alarm you.” But Belteshazzar replied,“ Sir, if only the dream were for your enemies and its interpretation applied to your adversaries!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken mute for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream, or the interpretation, trouble you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries.

我但以理精疲力盡，病了幾天。後來我起來照常辦理王的事務，但我對這異象感到驚奇不已，不明白它的意思。

「王啊，以下是夢的意思，是至高者裁定要臨到我主我王的事：

以利說：「耶和華對你說了什麼？你不要向我隱瞞。如果你隱瞞一句，願上帝重重地懲罰你。」

這時，古示人也到了，他說：「我有好消息向我主我王稟告，今日耶和華已經從一切反叛之人手中救了我主我王。」王問古示人：「年輕的押沙龍平安嗎？」古示人答道：「願我主我王的仇敵和一切要加害我王的人，下場都與那青年一樣。」

「我尼布甲尼撒安居在家，在宮中享受榮華。但我做了一個夢，令我害怕。我躺在床上的時候，腦中出現的情景和異象使我恐懼。

我的心啊，我的心啊！我傷心欲絕，煩躁不安。我無法保持緘默，因為我聽見了號角聲和呐喊聲。

俄巴底在路上遇見了以利亞，俄巴底認出了他，就俯伏在地上說：「你是我主以利亞嗎？」

王就問又名伯提沙撒的但以理：「你能將我做的夢和夢的意思告訴我嗎？」

「我但以理心中不安，腦中出現的異象令我恐懼，

大衛隨後也來到洞外，在後面喊掃羅：「我主我王啊！」掃羅回頭一看，見大衛俯伏在地，向他下拜。

最後但以理來到我面前，他又名伯提沙撒——取自我神明的名，他有聖潔神明的靈。我將夢告訴他，說，『術士的首領伯提沙撒啊，我知道你有聖潔神明的靈，任何奧秘都難不倒你。請你為我解釋我夢中所見的異象。

太監長給他們起了名字：稱但以理為伯提沙撒，哈拿尼雅為沙得拉，米沙利為米煞，亞撒利雅為亞伯尼歌。

懇求你赦免他們的罪，不然請你從你的冊子上抹掉我的名字吧。」

你們要為所住的城市謀求福祉，向耶和華禱告，因為你們的福祉有賴於那城的福祉。」

並吩咐他們：「你們要這樣對我主以掃說，『你僕人雅各一直寄居在拉班家裡，現在他帶了牛羊、驢和僕婢回來見你，派我們來報信，希望得到你的恩待。』」

他有非凡的心智、知識和悟性，能解夢、釋謎、解惑。他叫但以理，先王給他取名叫伯提沙撒。現在可以把他召來，他必能解釋這些字的意思。」

大衛說：「你不是勇士嗎？在以色列有誰比得上你呢？有人來刺殺你的王，你的主，你為何沒有保護他呢？

群山看見你就戰慄，大雨傾盆，深淵翻騰，波浪滔天。

拉結對父親說：「父親，請別生氣，我有月事在身，不便起來。」結果，拉班搜來搜去找不到神像。

你就說，『是僕人雅各要送給他主人以掃的禮物，他自己就跟在後面。』」

哈娜答道：「我主啊，我沒有喝醉，我淡酒和烈酒都沒有喝。我是心裡非常愁苦，在耶和華面前傾訴心事。
