王啊，這樹就是你！你繼續強大，變得堅壯，你的權勢繼續強大，高達於天，你的權柄直到地極。

王歟、生長堅剛者爾也、爾之高大、凌乎霄漢、爾之權勢、及於地極、

斯樹即王、爾既長大、堅剛無比、高大及乎九宵、權能延乎四極、

拿單對大衛說：“你就是那人！耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘我膏立了你作以色列的王，把你從掃羅的手裡救了出來，

王啊！你是萬王之王，天上的神已經把國度、權柄、能力和尊榮都賜給你；也把散居在各處的世人、田野的走獸和空中的飛鳥，都交在你手裡，使你管理這一切。你就是那金頭。

現在我已經親自把這一切國家都交在我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手中，連田野的走獸，我也交給他，供他奴役。列國都要服事他和他的兒子、孫子，直到他本國遭報的時候來到；那時，許多國家和大君王都要奴役他。“‘無論哪一國、哪一邦，不服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，不把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，我必用刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫去懲罰那國，直到我藉著巴比倫王的手把他們完全消滅。’這是耶和華的宣告。

因為她的罪惡滔天，神已經想起她的不義來。

因為你的慈愛偉大，高及諸天；你的信實上達雲霄。

因為約翰多次告訴他：“你佔有她是不合理的。”

那裡有一位耶和華的先知名叫俄德，出來迎接回到撒瑪利亞來的軍隊，對他們說：“耶和華你們列祖的神因為惱怒猶大人，才把他們交在你們手裡，你們卻怒氣沖天，殺戮了他們。

王啊！至高的神曾把國位、權勢、光榮和威嚴賜給你先祖尼布甲尼撒。因神所賜給他的權勢，各國、各族和說各種語言的人，都在他面前戰兢恐懼；他要殺誰，就殺誰；要誰活著，誰就可以活著；要提升誰，就提升誰；要貶低誰，就貶低誰。但他心高氣傲、妄自尊大的時候，就從國位上被趕下來，他的尊榮也被奪去。他被趕逐，離開人群，他的心變如獸心，他和野驢同住，像牛一樣吃草，身體被天露滴濕；等到他承認至高的神在世人的國中掌權，他喜歡誰，就立誰執掌國權。伯沙撒啊！你是他的子孫，你雖然知道這一切，你的心仍不謙卑，竟高抬自己，敵對天上的主，使人把他殿中的器皿拿到你面前來，你和你的大臣、妻妾、妃嬪用這些器皿喝酒；你又讚美那些不能看見、不能聽見、甚麼都不能知道，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所做的神，卻沒有把榮耀歸給那手中有你的氣息，和那掌管你一切命途的神。

耶和華啊！你的慈愛上及諸天，你的信實高達雲霄。

他作了一個夢，夢見一個梯子立在地上，梯頂直通到天，神的眾使者在梯子上下往來。

他們又說：“來，我們建一座城，造一座塔，塔頂要通天。我們要為自己立名，免得分散在全地上。”
