All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him:“ What have you done?”

He considers all the nations on earth to be nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven. He does what he wants with the nations of the earth. No one can hold back his hand. No one can say to him,“ What have you done?”

Behold, the nations[ are] as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.And Lebanon[ is] not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.All nations before him[ are] as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

I know that thou canst do every[ thing], and[ that] no thought can be withholden from thee.

Whatsoever the LORD pleased,[ that] did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

Yea, before the day[ was] I[ am] he; and[ there is] none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable[ are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?For of him, and through him, and to him,[ are] all things: to whom[ be] glory for ever. Amen.

Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed[ it], Why hast thou made me thus?

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker![ Let] the potsherd[ strive] with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?Woe unto him that saith unto[ his] father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

If he set his heart upon man,[ if] he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments[ are] in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.For he spake, and it was[ done]; he commanded, and it stood fast.The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?[ If] God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.

The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed,[ so] shall it stand:That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.This[ is] the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this[ is] the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul[ it]? and his hand[ is] stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times[ the things] that are not[ yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken[ it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed[ it], I will also do it.

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It[ is] the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good.

But he[ is] in one[ mind], and who can turn him? and[ what] his soul desireth, even[ that] he doeth.

Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct[ him]? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

[ He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened[ himself] against him, and hath prospered?

[ There is] no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth[ his] face, who then can behold him? whether[ it be done] against a nation, or against a man only:

Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as[ he did] unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

[ It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof[ are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?Deck thyself now[ with] majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one[ that is] proud, and abase him.Look on every one[ that is] proud,[ and] bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.

From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

[ How much less to him] that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all[ are] the work of his hands.In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.For his eyes[ are] upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.[ There is] no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.For he will not lay upon man more[ than right]; that he should enter into judgment with God.He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

Hear this, all[ ye] people; give ear, all[ ye] inhabitants of the world:

Behold,[ in] this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:[ it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of[ things] in heaven, and[ things] in earth, and[ things] under the earth;And[ that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ[ is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
