There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods in him. In the time of your father he was found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom like that of the gods. Your father, King Nebuchadnezzar, appointed him chief of the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners.

The king answered and said to Daniel,“ Truly, your God is God of gods and Lord of kings, and a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery.”Then the king gave Daniel high honors and many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.

I have heard of you that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you.

I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie— behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.

And when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lycaonian,“ The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”
