儘管使用從幼年就施行的魔符和眾多的邪術吧！或許有些幫助，或許可以致勝。

王對他們說：「我做了一個夢，心裏煩亂，想要知道這是甚麼夢。」迦勒底人用亞蘭話對王說：「願王萬歲！請將夢告訴僕人，我們就可以講解。」王回答迦勒底人說：「這事我已決定，你們若不把夢和夢的解釋告訴我，就必被凌遲，你們的房屋必成糞堆；但你們若能說出這個夢和夢的解釋，就必從我得到禮物、賞賜和殊榮。現在，你們要把夢和夢的解釋告訴我。」他們再一次回答說：「請王將夢告訴僕人，我們就可以講解。」王回答說：「我確實知道你們是故意拖延，因為你們知道這事我已決定。你們若不將夢告訴我，只有一個辦法對待你們；因為你們彼此串通，向我胡言亂語，要等候情勢改變。現在，你們要將夢告訴我，讓我知道你們真能為我解夢。」迦勒底人回答王說：「世上沒有人能解釋王的事情；從來沒有君王、大臣、掌權者向術士、巫師，或迦勒底人問過這樣的事。王所問的事很難，除了不與血肉之軀同住的上帝，沒有人能在王面前解釋。」

因為耶和華將沉睡的靈澆灌你們，遮住你們的眼，眼就是先知，覆蓋你們的頭，頭就是先見。所有的默示，在你們看來都如封住的書卷，人將這書卷交給識字的人，說：「請念吧！」他說：「我不能念，因為它封住了。」又將這書卷交給不識字的人，說：「請念吧！」他說：「我不識字。」
