惟驕其志、逆天之主、命取厥殿之器、王公后妃、用之飲酒、譽揚金銀銅鐵木石所造之上帝、彼不見不聞、不識不知、至於賜爾呼吸、整爾步履之上帝、爾反不頌美之、

Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

You have taken your stand against the Lord of heaven. You had your servants bring cups from his temple to you. You and your nobles drank wine from them. So did your wives and concubines. You praised your gods. The statues of those gods are made out of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood or stone. They can’t see or hear or understand anything. But you didn’t honor God. He holds in his hand your very life and everything you do.

but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.

For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone— gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of the heavens. The vessels from his house were brought to you, and as you and your nobles, wives, and concubines drank wine from them, you praised the gods made of silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But you have not glorified the God who holds your life-breath in his hand and who controls the whole course of your life.

but you have risen up against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives, and your concubines have been drinking wine out of them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see, nor hear, nor understand. But the God in whose hand are your life breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

你辱骂谁、亵渎谁呢？你扬起声音、高举眼目针对的是谁呢？是针对以色列的圣者！

如今我尼布甲尼撒称赞、高举、尊崇天上的王，因为他一切的作为都是确实的，一切的道路都是公正的，他能使行事骄傲的人降卑。

因为必有万军之耶和华的一个日子，临到所有傲慢高傲的和所有自高的，使他们成为卑贱；

人的脚步由耶和华而定；世人怎能明白自己的道路呢？

列国的偶像是银的、金的，是人手所做的：它们有嘴却不能说，有眼却不能看；有耳却不能听，有鼻却不能闻；有手却不能摸，有脚却不能走，也不能用喉咙发出声音。那些造它们的、所有依靠它们的，都会像它们那样。

并且被造之物在神面前，没有一样不是显明的；万有在他眼前，都是赤裸敞开的；我们都要向他交代。

又把它们的神像扔进火中；那些神像之所以被灭绝，是因为它们不是神，只不过是人手所造的，是用木头、石头造的！

所以人是已经知道神的，但是却不把他当做神来荣耀他，也不感谢他；相反，他们在思想上变得虚妄，他们无知的心就昏暗了。他们自称是有智慧的，却成了愚拙，甚至用偶像，就是会朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽、爬行动物的形像，来取代那不朽之神的荣耀。

我行路、我躺卧，你都细察；你熟悉我的一切道路。

那兽被赐予了一张说大话和亵渎话的口；它又被赐予了权柄，可以任意行事四十二个月。它就开口向神说亵渎的话，亵渎了他的名和他的居所，亵渎了那些居住在天上的。

也不受人手的服事，好像缺少什么似的，因为他自己把生命、气息和万有赐给万人。

耶和华说：“现在我要起来，现在我要被高举，现在我要受尊崇。

耶和华神用地上的尘土塑造人，把生命的气息吹进他的鼻孔里，那人就成了有生命的人。

做监督的不可以是新信徒，免得他自以为是，就落在魔鬼所受的惩罚里；

他祝福亚伯兰，说：“愿至高神、天地的主宰祝福亚伯兰！

列国的偶像是银的、金的，是人手所做的：它们有嘴却不能说，有眼却不能看；有耳却不能听，口中也没有气息；

诸天，是耶和华的诸天；大地，他却赐给了世人。

那些不惜从钱袋里倒出金子，用天平称出银子的人，雇用金匠造出神像，然后俯伏下拜。他们把神像抬起，扛在肩上，又把它安置就位；它就在那里呆立不动。尽管人向它呼求，它也不回应，更不能救人脱离患难。

他们的气一断，就归回尘土；他们所谋划的在当日就消亡了。

神耶和华创造诸天，展开穹苍，铺张地和地所出的一切，又把气息赐给地上的众人，把灵赐给行在其中的人——神耶和华如此说：

因为我们活着、行动、生存，都在于他，正如你们中间的一些诗人也曾经说过，‘原来我们也是他的后裔。’所以我们既然是神的后裔，就不应该认为神性是仿佛用人的手艺和心思所雕刻的金、银、石像。

伯沙撒酒酣之时，吩咐人把他先王尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷的圣殿中取走的金银器皿带来，好让王和他的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们都用这些来喝酒。于是人把圣殿——耶路撒冷神的殿中所取走的金器皿带来，王和他的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们就用这些来喝酒。他们一边喝酒，一边称赞那些用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神明。

非利士人夺去神的约柜，把它从以便-以谢带到阿实突。非利士人抬着神的约柜，把它带进大衮的庙，放在大衮旁边。次日，阿实突人早早起来，看哪，大衮面朝地仆倒在耶和华的约柜前。他们就把大衮扶起来，放回原处。又次日清晨，他们早早起来，看哪，大衮又面朝地仆倒在耶和华的约柜前，大衮的头和双手在门槛上折断了，只剩下躯干。因此直到今天，大衮的祭司们和所有进大衮庙的人都不踩阿实突的大衮庙门槛。耶和华的手重重地压在阿实突人身上，使他们惊恐不安；他用肿物击打阿实突及其四境。阿实突人看见这情形，就说：“以色列神的约柜不可留在我们这里，因为他的手重压着我们和我们的神大衮。”于是他们派人招聚非利士众首领到他们那里，问：“我们该怎么处理以色列神的约柜呢？”首领们回答：“可以把以色列神的约柜转移到迦特去。”他们就把以色列神的约柜转移了。他们把它转移过去之后，耶和华的手临到那城，引起极大的恐慌；他击打那城的人，无论老少都长出了肿物。

关于吃祭过偶像的食物，我们知道“世界上的偶像是虚无的”，也知道“除了神一位之外，没有别的神。”

你隐藏你的脸，它们就惶恐；你收回它们的气息，它们就断气，归回尘土。
