接着，我听见一位圣者在说话，另一位圣者问他：“异象中出现的有关日常所献的祭，毁灭性的反叛和践踏圣所及天军的事要持续多久呢？”

我听见一位圣者在说话，又有一位圣者问他：“这个关于除掉常献的祭，和引致毁坏的罪过，以及践踏圣所和圣民（“圣民”和8:10~11的“天象”原文是同一个字）的异象，要到几时呢？”

然后我听见一位圣者在说话，又有一位圣者问那说话的：“这异象，就是有关常献的祭、带来荒凉的罪过、圣所和天军被践踏之事，要到什么时候呢？”

我聽見有一位聖者說話，又有一位聖者問那說話的聖者說：「這除掉常獻的燔祭和施行毀壞的罪過，將聖所與軍旅踐踏的異象，要到幾時才應驗呢？」

接著，我聽見一位聖者在說話，另一位聖者問他：「異象中出現的有關日常所獻的祭，毀滅性的反叛和踐踏聖所及天軍的事要持續多久呢？」

我聽見有一位聖者在說話；又有一位聖者問那說話的聖者，說：『關於以下這些事的異象要延到幾時呢？關於這不斷獻的燔祭之被除掉和那使地荒涼的罪過行為、以及將聖所和拜神儀節任意踐踏的事；要延到幾時呢？

然後我聽見一位聖者在說話，又有一位聖者問那說話的：「這異象，就是有關常獻的祭、帶來荒涼的罪過、聖所和天軍被踐踏之事，要到什麼時候呢？」

我聞一聖者宣言、又有一聖者詢之曰、異象所示、論去日獻之祭、與行毀滅之罪、且付聖所與軍旅、而受足踐、其事延至何時、

我聞聖使相語曰、民犯罪戾、都城遭毀、日獻之祭品、悉已棄捐、聖所祭司、俱遭蹂躪、所見之異象、將應於何時、

我聞一聖者聖者或作聖天使下同言、又有一聖者、問彼言之聖者曰、異象顯示日獻之祭必除、民之罪愆、使毀滅行於國、民之罪愆使毀滅行於國或作施行毀滅者犯大罪愆使聖所與軍旅被蹂躪、其事將至何時、其事將至何時或作此異象應於何時

Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him,“ How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled— the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, the surrender of the sanctuary and the trampling underfoot of the Lord’s people?”

Then I heard a holy angel speaking. Another holy angel spoke to him. He asked,“ How long will it take for the vision to come true? When will the daily sacrifices be stopped? When will those who refuse to obey God be destroyed? When will the temple be handed over to an enemy? And when will some of the Lord’ s people be stomped on?”

Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke,“ For how long is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled underfoot?”

Then I heard two holy ones talking to each other. One of them asked,“ How long will the events of this vision last? How long will the rebellion that causes desecration stop the daily sacrifices? How long will the Temple and heaven’s army be trampled on?”

Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the speaker,“ How long will the events of this vision last— the regular sacrifice, the rebellion that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and of the army to be trampled?”

Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that particular one who was speaking,“ How long will the vision about the regular sacrifice apply, while the offense causes horror, so as to allow both the sanctuary and the army to be trampled?”

Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking,“ How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled under foot?”

Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said unto that certain one who spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the continual burnt- offering, and the transgression that maketh desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the speaker,“ How long will the events of this vision last— the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and of the host to be trampled?”

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain[ saint] which spake, How long[ shall be] the vision[ concerning] the daily[ sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Then I heard a holy one speaking. Another holy one said to the one who was speaking,“ To what period of time does the vision pertain– this vision concerning the daily sacrifice and the destructive act of rebellion and the giving over of both the sanctuary and army to be trampled?”

Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke,“ How long will the vision about the continual burnt offering, and the disobedience that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the army to be trodden under foot be?”

But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. (niv)

They called out in a loud voice,“ How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” (niv)

They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (niv)

He will confirm a covenant with many for one‘ seven.’ In the middle of the‘ seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” (niv)

“ In the visions I saw while lying in bed, I looked, and there before me was a holy one, a messenger, coming down from heaven. (niv)

For a little while your people possessed your holy place, but now our enemies have trampled down your sanctuary. (niv)

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. (niv)

Then I said,“ For how long, Lord?” And he answered:“ Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged, (niv)

How long, Lord? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like fire? (niv)

“ His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. (niv)

How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? (niv)

“ When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. (niv)

While the angel who was speaking to me was leaving, another angel came to meet himand said to him:“ Run, tell that young man,‘ Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it. (niv)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (niv)

He replied,“ Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.” (niv)

I asked,“ What are these, my lord?” The angel who was talking with me answered,“ I will show you what they are.”Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained,“ They are the ones the Lord has sent to go throughout the earth.”And they reported to the angel of the Lord who was standing among the myrtle trees,“ We have gone throughout the earth and found the whole world at rest and in peace.”Then the angel of the Lord said,“ Lord Almighty, how long will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah, which you have been angry with these seventy years?” (niv)

No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. (niv)

“ So when you see standing in the holy place‘ the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel— let the reader understand— (niv)

You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him. (niv)

It set itself up to be as great as the commander of the army of the Lord; it took away the daily sacrifice from the Lord, and his sanctuary was thrown down.Because of rebellion, the Lord’s people and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground. (niv)

Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river,“ How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?” (niv)

I asked the angel who was speaking to me,“ What are these?” He answered me,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.” (niv)

He said:“ The Lord came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes. (niv)

“ He gave me this explanation:‘ The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. (niv)

“ When you see‘ the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong— let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (niv)

Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them:“ See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones (niv)

“ All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. (niv)

“ From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. (niv)

I approached one of those standing there and asked him the meaning of all this.“ So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: (niv)

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. (niv)

“ All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” (niv)

“ Your Majesty saw a holy one, a messenger, coming down from heaven and saying,‘ Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its roots remain in the ground. Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven; let him live with the wild animals, until seven times pass by for him.’ (niv)

We are given no signs from God; no prophets are left, and none of us knows how long this will be. (niv)
