於爾四境不無貧者、故我命汝、大啟爾手、賙濟同儕。

因爾地不免有貧者、故我命爾曰、當開展爾手、周濟爾境內兄弟之困窮貧乏者、○

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

There will always be poor people in the land. So I’m commanding you to give freely to those who are poor and needy in your land. Open your hands to them.

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you,‘ You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

For there will never cease to be poor people in the land; that is why I am commanding you,‘ Open your hand willingly to your poor and needy brother in your land.’

因为常有穷人和你们同在；只是你们不常有我。

总要向他松开手，照他所缺乏的借给他，补他的不足。

主为我们舍命，我们从此就知道何为爱；我们也当为弟兄舍命。凡有世上财物的，看见弟兄穷乏，却塞住怜恤的心，爱神的心怎能存在他里面呢？小子们哪，我们相爱，不要只在言语和舌头上，总要在行为和诚实上。

富户穷人在世相遇，都为耶和华所造。

那许多信的人都是一心一意的，没有一人说他的东西有一样是自己的，都是大家公用。使徒大有能力，见证主耶稣复活；众人也都蒙大恩。内中也没有一个缺乏的；因为人人将田产房屋都卖了，把所卖的价银拿来，放在使徒脚前，照各人所需用的，分给各人。

内中有一位，名叫亚迦布，站起来，藉着圣灵指明天下将有大饥荒；这事到革老丢年间果然有了。于是门徒定意照各人的力量捐钱，送去供给住在犹太的弟兄。他们就这样行，把捐项托巴拿巴和扫罗送到众长老那里。

你们要变卖所有的周济人，为自己预备永不坏的钱囊，用不尽的财宝在天上，就是贼不能近、虫不能蛀的地方。

就是他们在患难中受大试炼的时候，仍有满足的快乐，在极穷之间还格外显出他们乐捐的厚恩。我可以证明，他们是按着力量，而且也过了力量，自己甘心乐意地捐助，再三地求我们，准他们在这供给圣徒的恩情上有份；并且他们所做的，不但照我们所想望的，更照神的旨意先把自己献给主，又归附了我们。因此我劝提多，既然在你们中间开办这慈惠的事，就当办成了。你们既然在信心、口才、知识、热心，和待我们的爱心上，都格外显出满足来，就当在这慈惠的事上也格外显出满足来。我说这话，不是吩咐你们，乃是藉着别人的热心试验你们爱心的实在。你们知道我们主耶稣基督的恩典：他本来富足，却为你们成了贫穷，叫你们因他的贫穷，可以成为富足。

有求你的，就给他；有向你借贷的，不可推辞。”

并且卖了田产、家业，照各人所需用的分给各人。
