宜守除酵節、昔亞筆月、爾出埃及、故於是月、當食無酵餅、七日、遵我所命。

爾出時乃亞筆月。

正月十四日、為踰越節期、以奉事我、

爾必以是月為正月、而作歲首。當告以色列會眾、曰、是月十日、各家必取一羔。若戶小人寡、一羔不能盡、則與比鄰同取、隨其人數、各如其量。取純潔牡羔、生未盈歲者、綿羊山羊俱可。當留至十四日夕、以色列會眾宰是羔、即於食羔之室、取其血以釁左右橛、及門楣。是夕炙其肉、共無酵餅苦菜而食。勿生食、勿水烹、必火炙、首足與臟皆宜食。毋留其餘於明日、若留於明日者、以火燬之。當束帶納履、執杖而食、其速如欲遁者、是為耶和華逾越節之禮。我耶和華是夜將遍行通國、擊埃及人長子、與畜首生者、凡埃及人之上帝我必敗之。惟汝室以血為徵、我見之、將逾越爾室、擊埃及時、災害不及爾身。歷代當誌是日、必守節期、以奉事我耶和華永著為例。七日間、當食無酵餅、首日必於爾室除酵、自首日至七日、凡食酵者、必絕之於以色列族中。首日必為聖會、七日亦必為聖會、是日勿操作、推備食則可。是日我導爾群眾、以出埃及、故當守無酵節期、歷世勿替、永著為例。正月十四日夕、至二十一日夕、宜食無酵餅。七日間勿存酵於爾家、無論宗族賓旅、若食酵餅、必絕於以色列會中。有酵者勿食、維爾家所食者、必除其酵。○

正月十四日薄暮、即我之逾越節、

屆期以色列族當守逾越節、月之十四日、薄暮、遵禮儀法度、而守節期、摩西告以色列族、使守逾越節、正月十四日薄暮以色列族在西乃野守逾越節、遵耶和華諭摩西之命而行、○

中夜耶和華遍行埃及、自居位之法老、至獄中之罪犯、凡其長子、及群畜首生者、無不被擊。是夜比戶皆有死亡、號泣之聲、遍聞埃及、法老與臣民悉起。召摩西亞倫曰、爾曹與以色列族、速離我民、奉事耶和華。如爾所言。亦驅牛羊、如爾所求、更我為我祝嘏。埃及人促以色列族、速出其境。僉曰、我儕將就死亡。以色列族之濕麵、未置酵、盛於器中、以衣裹之、肩而行。亦從摩西言、乞金銀服飾於埃及人。耶和華使以色列族、沾恩於埃及人、遂得所乞之物、取之而去。以色列族自蘭塞遄征、至數割、計其人數、婦稚而外、壯健者約六十萬。非同族者、從行亦眾、群畜牛羊、不可勝數。埃及人促以色列族出境、不得濡滯、故未遑備糧、第以所攜無酵濕麵、炊為無酵餅。以色列族旅埃及、自祖迄今、歷四百三十年。歷年既竟、至於是日、耶和華之兆民咸出埃及、是夜耶和華拯以色列族、出於埃及。故當守是日、永誌弗忘、至於歷世、奉事耶和華。○

亞筆月、汝出埃及、屆期必守除酵節、七日間、宜食無酵餅、如我所命、覲我之時、毋徒手而至。
