Act according to whatever they teach you and the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right or to the left.

According to the instructions that they give you, and according to the decision which they pronounce to you, you shall do. You shall not turn aside from the verdict that they declare to you, either to the right hand or to the left.

After they have interpreted the law and declared their verdict, the sentence they impose must be fully executed; do not modify it in any way.

你不要偏右，也不要偏左，要使你的腳離開惡事。

所有的人都當服從在上掌權的，因為沒有一個掌權的不是出於神。所有掌權的，都是由神所指定的。所以，抗拒掌權的，就是違抗神所設立的；違抗的人，就自招懲罰。事實上，對良善的行為，掌權者並不是可怕的；而對邪惡的行為，他才是可怕的。那麼，你想要不懼怕掌權的，就應當做良善的事。這樣，你就會得到他的稱讚。要知道，他是神的僕役，對你是有益處的。但你如果作惡，就該懼怕，因為他不是毫無理由的佩帶刀劍。他是神的僕役，是報應者，使震怒臨到作惡的人。因此，你們必須服從，不僅是為了震怒的緣故，也是為了良心。其實你們納稅，也是為了這緣故；因為他們是神的僕役，正是為此專心服事。

王就問：「這一切都是約押一手安排的嗎？」婦人回答說：「我指著我主我王的生命起誓：我主我王所說的一切不偏左右，正是你的臣僕約押吩咐我的，是他把這一切話教給了你的婢女。

不過，這些做夢的人一方面也同樣地汙穢身體，另一方面拒絕有主權的，又褻瀆那些有榮耀的。

你提醒他們要服從統治者和掌權者，要順從，並要為一切美善的工作做好準備；

為了主的緣故，你們要服從人的一切制度；無論是在上的君王，或是他所委派來懲惡賞善的那些官員；因為神的旨意就是要你們藉著行善，堵住那些愚妄人無知的口。

尤其對那些隨從肉體而在汙穢的欲望中生活、輕視主權者的人，更是這樣。這些人膽大、任性，毫不戰兢地褻瀆那些有榮耀的。

萬軍之耶和華說：「然而，你們偏離了正道，使許多人在訓誨上絆倒；你們破壞了我與利未所立的約；因此我就使你們在萬民面前被藐視、被輕賤，因為你們不謹守我的道路，在訓誨上顧及人的情面。」
