The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the Lord has told you,“ You are not to go back that way again.”

The king must not get large numbers of horses for himself. He must not make the people return to Egypt to get more horses. The Lord has told you,“ You must not go back there again.”

Only he must not acquire many horses for himself or cause the people to return to Egypt in order to acquire many horses, since the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall never return that way again.’

“ The king must not build up a large stable of horses for himself or send his people to Egypt to buy horses, for the Lord has told you,‘ You must never return to Egypt.’

However, he must not acquire many horses for himself or send the people back to Egypt to acquire many horses, for the LORD has told you,‘ You are never to go back that way again.’

In any case, he is not to acquire many horses for himself, nor shall he make the people return to Egypt in order to acquire many horses, since the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall never again return that way.’

But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall not return that way again.’

Only he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he may multiply horses; forasmuch as Jehovah hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.

However, he must not acquire many horses for himself or send the people back to Egypt to acquire many horses, for the Lord has told you,‘ You are never to go back that way again.’

But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.

Moreover, he must not accumulate horses for himself or allow the people to return to Egypt to do so, for the LORD has said you must never again return that way.

所罗门拥有给战车用的四万个马棚，还有一万二千名骑兵。

他们不必返回埃及地；然而亚述人要作他们的王，因他们不肯归向我。

法老放百姓走的时候，非利士人之地的路虽近，神却不领他们从那里走，因为神说：“恐怕百姓遇见战争就后悔，转回埃及去。”

耶和华要用船把你送回埃及去，走那我曾告诉你不再看见的路；在那里你们必卖身给你的仇敌作奴婢，却没有人要买。”

他却背叛巴比伦王，差派使者前往埃及，要求埃及人给他马匹和许多人。他岂能亨通呢？这样做的人岂能逃脱呢？他背了约岂能逃脱呢？

摩西对百姓说：“不要怕，要站稳，看耶和华今天向你们所要施行的拯救，因为你们今天所看见的埃及人必永远不再看见了。

俘掳了他的骑兵一千七百人，步兵二万人。大卫把所有战马的蹄筋砍断，只留下一百辆战车。

他说：“管辖你们的王必用这样的方式：他必派你们的儿子为他驾车，赶马，在他的战车前奔跑。

所罗门拥有给战车和马用的四千个棚子，还有一万二千名骑兵，安置在屯车城，在耶路撒冷的王那里。

所罗门聚集战车骑兵；他有一千四百辆战车，一万二千名骑兵，安置在屯车城，在耶路撒冷的王那里。王在耶路撒冷使银子多如石头，香柏木多如谢非拉的桑树。所罗门的马是从埃及和科威运来的，是王的商人按着定价从科威买来的。

耶和华为什么要把我们领到那地，让我们倒在刀下呢？我们的妻子和孩子必成为掳物。我们回埃及去岂不更好吗？”他们彼此说：“我们不如选一个领袖，回埃及去吧！”

亚述不能救我们，我们不再骑马，也不再对我们手所造的偶像说：‘你是我们的神’；孤儿在你那里得蒙怜悯。”

那时，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅妄自尊大，说：“我要作王”，就为自己预备座车、骑兵，又派五十人在他前头奔跑。

祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的，他们仰赖马匹，倚靠甚多的战车，并倚靠强壮的骑兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华。其实，耶和华有智慧，他降灾祸，并不撤回自己的话，却要兴起攻击作恶之家，攻击那帮助人作恶的。埃及人不过是人，并非神，他们的马不过是血肉，并不是灵。耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的必绊跌，受帮助的也必跌倒，都一同灭亡。

现在你与我主亚述王打赌，我给你两千匹马，看你能否派得出骑士来骑它们。若不然，怎能使我主臣仆中最小的一个军官转脸而逃呢？你难道要倚靠埃及的战车和骑兵吗？

有人靠车，有人靠马，但我们要提耶和华—我们神的名。

说：‘我们不留在这地，却要进入埃及地，在那里我们看不见战争，听不见角声，也不致缺食挨饿；我们要住在那里。’幸存的犹大人哪，你们现在要听耶和华的话；万军之耶和华—以色列的神如此说：‘你们若定意进入埃及，在那里寄居，你们所惧怕的刀剑在埃及地必追上你们，你们所惧怕的饥荒在埃及要紧紧跟随你们，你们必死在那里。
