“ If a malicious witness comes forward and accuses someone of a crime,

如果有强横的见证人起来，指证某人作恶，

若有凶惡的見證人起來，見證某人作惡，

若有人懷惡意，起來作證，控告他人犯法，

若有人懷惡意，起來作證，控告他人犯法，

如果有人作偽證誣陷別人，

如果有強橫的見證人起來，指證某人作惡，

若有一個強暴的見證人起來指責一個人，作證控訴他橫逆不道，

如有妄證、起而罪人、

如有妄證以罪歸人、

如有妄證者、證人犯罪、

If a malicious witness takes the stand to accuse someone of a crime,

Suppose a witness who tells lies goes to court and brings charges against someone. The witness says someone committed a crime.

If a malicious witness arises to accuse a person of wrongdoing,

“ If a malicious witness testifies against someone accusing him of a crime,

If a malicious witness rises up against a person to testify against him of wrongdoing,

If a false witness rises against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing,

If an unrighteous witness rise up against any man to testify against him of wrong- doing,

“ If a malicious witness testifies against someone accusing him of a crime,

If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him[ that which is] wrong;

If a false witness testifies against another person and accuses him of a crime,

If an unrighteous witness rises up against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing,

Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence.

“ You must not pass along false rumors. You must not cooperate with evil people by lying on the witness stand.“ You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.And do not slant your testimony in favor of a person just because that person is poor.“ If you come upon your enemy’s ox or donkey that has strayed away, take it back to its owner.If you see that the donkey of someone who hates you has collapsed under its load, do not walk by. Instead, stop and help.“ In a lawsuit, you must not deny justice to the poor.“ Be sure never to charge anyone falsely with evil. Never sentence an innocent or blameless person to death, for I never declare a guilty person to be innocent.

Malicious witnesses testify against me. They accuse me of crimes I know nothing about.

Inside, the leading priests and the entire high council were trying to find evidence against Jesus, so they could put him to death. But they couldn’t find any.Many false witnesses spoke against him, but they contradicted each other.Finally, some men stood up and gave this false testimony:“ We heard him say,‘ I will destroy this Temple made with human hands, and in three days I will build another, made without human hands.’”But even then they didn’t get their stories straight!

The lying witnesses said,“ This man is always speaking against the holy Temple and against the law of Moses.

And then seat two scoundrels across from him who will accuse him of cursing God and the king. Then take him out and stone him to death.”So the elders and other town leaders followed the instructions Jezebel had written in the letters.They called for a fast and put Naboth at a prominent place before the people.Then the two scoundrels came and sat down across from him. And they accused Naboth before all the people, saying,“ He cursed God and the king.” So he was dragged outside the town and stoned to death.
