告以色列族云、昔我諭摩西、必有數邑為逋逃之藪、今當立之、使無知而誤殺人者可遁於彼、遇被殺者之戚屬欲報其仇、則以此邑為逋逃之藪。逃至此邑者、必立邑門、自訴於長老前、長老接之、安置邑中。既誤擊同儕、素無仇隙、則被殺之戚屬追及、長老不得以殺人者解與其手、必居於邑中、迨見鞫於會眾、以俟在位之祭司長終、則殺人者可歸故邑故家。○以色列族簡納大利山地、加利利之基特、以法蓮山地之示劍、猶大山地之基列亞巴、即希伯崙。
