Give the people these orders:‘ You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, but be very careful.

Here are the orders I want you to give the people. Tell them,‘ You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives. They are from the family line of Esau. They live in Seir. They will be afraid of you. But be very careful.

and command the people,“ You are about to pass through the territory of your brothers, the people of Esau, who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. So be very careful.

Give these orders to the people:“ You will pass through the country belonging to your relatives the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. The Edomites will feel threatened, so be careful.

Command the people: You are about to travel through the territory of your brothers, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, so be very careful.

Instruct these people as follows:‘ You are about to cross the border of your relatives the descendants of Esau, who inhabit Seir. They will be afraid of you, so watch yourselves carefully.

那时，以东的族长惊惶，摩押的英雄被战兢抓住，迦南所有的居民都融化。

“不可憎恶以东人，因为他是你的弟兄。不可憎恶埃及人，因为你曾在他的地上作过寄居的。

好使你们无可指责，诚实无伪，在这弯曲悖谬的世代作神无瑕疵的儿女。你们在这世代中要像明光照耀，

摩押因以色列百姓这么多，非常惧怕。摩押因以色列人的缘故就忧惧。摩押对米甸的长老说：“现在这群人要舔尽我们四围的一切，好像牛舔尽田间的草一样。”那时，西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。

你们的光也要这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，把荣耀归给你们在天上的父。”

于是他对他们说：“你们要谨慎自守，躲避一切的贪心，因为人的生命不在于家道丰富。”

因你向兄弟雅各施暴，你必蒙羞，永被剪除。当陌生人掳掠雅各的财物，当外邦人进入他的城门，为耶路撒冷抽签分取财物的日子，你竟站在一旁，像与他们同伙。你兄弟遭难的日子，你不该瞪着眼看；犹大人被灭的日子，你不该幸灾乐祸；他们遭难的日子，你不该说狂傲的话。我子民遭灾的日子，你不该进他们的城门；他们遭灾的日子，你不该瞪着眼看他们受苦；他们遭灾的日子，你不该伸手抢他们的财物。

现在，看哪，我要回到我的百姓那里。来，让我告诉你这百姓日后要怎样对待你的百姓。”他就唱起诗歌说：“比珥的儿子巴兰说，眼目关闭的人说，听见神的言语，明白至高者的知识，看见全能者的异象，俯伏着，眼睛却睁开的人说：我看见他，却不在现时；我望见他，却不在近处。有星出于雅各，有杖从以色列兴起，必打破摩押的额头，必毁坏所有的塞特人。以东将成为产业，西珥将成为它敌人的产业；但以色列却要得胜。

你们要把握时机，用智慧与外人来往。

你们要谨慎行事，不要像无知的人，要像智慧的人。
