“如果一个人的儿子冥顽不灵、悖逆成性、屡教不改，

“如果人有忤逆倔强的儿子，不听从父母的话；父母管教他以后，他还是不听从；

『人若有倔強悖逆的兒子，不聽從他父親的話或母親的話；他們雖懲罰他，他還是不聽從；

人有悖逆之子、不聽父母之言、雖責之仍不聽、

人有悖逆之子、父母督責不聽其言。

人有忤逆之子、不聽父母言、雖加譴責、仍不聽從、

If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him,

Suppose someone has a very stubborn son. He doesn’t obey his father and mother. And he won’t listen to them when they try to correct him.

“ If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them,

“ Suppose a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or mother, even though they discipline him.

“ If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father or mother and doesn’t listen to them even after they discipline him,

“ If any person has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father or his mother, and when they discipline him, he does not listen to them,

「當孝敬父母，使你的日子在耶和華－你神所賜你的地上得以長久。

你們各人都當孝敬父母，也要守我的安息日。我是耶和華－你們的神。

「『輕慢父母的，必受詛咒！』眾百姓要說：『阿們！』

作兒女的，你們要在主裏聽從父母，這是理所當然的。當孝敬父母，使你得福，在世長壽。這是第一條帶應許的誡命。

趁還有指望，管教你的兒子，不可執意摧毀他。

天哪，要聽！地啊，側耳而聽！因為耶和華說：「我養育兒女，將他們養大，他們竟悖逆我。

愚昧迷住孩童的心，用管教的杖可以遠遠趕除。

我兒啊，要聽你父親的訓誨，不可離棄你母親的教誨；

「我傾覆你們，如同神從前傾覆所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣；你們好像從火中搶救出來的一根柴，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「因此，以色列啊，我要如此對待你；因為我要這樣對待你，以色列啊，你當預備迎見你的神。」

你心裏要知道，耶和華－你的神管教你，像人管教兒女一樣。

我聽見以法蓮為自己悲嘆說：『你管教我，我便受管教，我如未馴服的牛犢。求你使我回轉，我便回轉，因為你是耶和華－我的神。

搶奪父母竟說「這不是罪過」，此人與毀滅者同類。

你那裏有輕慢父母的，在你當中有欺壓寄居者的，你那裏也有虧負孤兒寡婦的。

不可不管教孩童，因為你用杖打他，他不會死。你用杖打他，就可以救他的性命免下陰間。

不忍用杖打兒子的，是恨惡他；疼愛兒子的，勤加管教。

管教你的兒子，他就使你得安寧，也使你心裏喜樂。

我要作他的父，他要作我的子；他若犯了罪，我必用人的杖，用世人的鞭責罰他。

雖然我想潔淨你污穢的淫行，你卻不潔淨，你的污穢再也不能潔淨，直等我止息了向你發的憤怒。

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，繼續受責打呢？你們已經滿頭疼痛，全心發昏；

愚妄人藐視父親的管教；領受責備，使人精明。

耶和華啊，你的眼目不是在尋找誠實嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不傷慟；你摧毀他們，他們仍不領受管教。他們使臉剛硬過於磐石，不肯回頭。

「咒罵父母的，必被處死。

有一類人，詛咒父親，不給母親祝福。

「祭司的女兒若行淫玷污自己，就侮辱了父親，要用火將她焚燒。

再者，我們曾有肉身之父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況靈性之父，我們豈不更當順服他而得生命嗎？肉身之父都是短時間隨己意管教我們，惟有靈性之父管教我們是要我們得益處，使我們在他的聖潔上有份。凡管教的事，當時不覺得快樂，反覺得痛苦；後來卻為那經過鍛鍊的人結出平安的果子，就是義的果子。

嘲笑父親、藐視而不聽從母親的，谷中的烏鴉必啄他的眼睛，小鷹也必吃它。

咒罵父母的，他的燈必熄滅，在漆黑中。
